I would be concerned that with only one bolt it would rotate over time. Maybe get a thin flat bar with 3 holes that would fit over top and bolt in all 3 holes... two into the engine and the 3rd with just a nut so everything is solid together and will not rotate. But keep up the Good work!

Yeah, I’m totally with you. This is more of a stop gap for now since I’m in “get it started” mode haha. There are a couple of brackets I’ll likely be making once I get it going like for the air filter, coolant overflow cylinder, etc. Thanks for the advice, and for watching!

May I ask how you painted your pedals? I am cleaning all the rust off mine right now and am thinking about getting some rustoleum and just spraying the crap out of them. I like the gold detail on yours though.

Hahah it’s probably far from the answer you’d like to hear, cleaned them off as best I could then rattle-canned them. Had some black on hand and a reaaaally old and semi broken can of gold which gave it a splatter effect. It’s holding up ok so far though! I imagine you could take some paint and dip a brush in and flick it to get a similar effect though!

@@kgranger hahaha excellent!! Sounds like people are catching on that it’s nitty gritty and pretty details will come later, but I gotta say, it works! Hahah

I don't know, still looks like an awkward angle to me. Won't that bind when you are trying to use it?

Yeah, it’s a stop gap for now. There’s something that has always been off about my throttle cable with the donor car. I remember when we were tinkering with it in the shop after installing something and it wouldn’t allow full WOT (it was close) so something is a bit wonky. Hopefully sharing this can point me in the right direction!

Are you thinking of making a street-legal build or a track toy? Curious what extra things you have to do if going the street legal route

Right now this will be the tootin' around town car, so I'll need headlights, blinkers, a tag light, brake lights, and side mirrors. That's pretty much it, off the top of my head. GA doesn't ask much, just tax money haha. Thanks for watching!

@@summerdelsol I'll be curious to see what you do for headlights / turn signals. I've seen some 7" headlight assemblies that have turn signals built in.
