    Thanks for sharing your story, Bob! We have similar stories there too, after about three years of hustling my honey, I all but stopped actively marketing and my business has taken on a life of its own...now it hustles me! Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

    I learn from you every day. There is so much crookery in the honey business. We need more keepers and packers like you, who do things the right way. Keep it up.

    I'll bet everything I own that if you wanted to, and you put a sales team going out, you'd reach the large honey packer level with over 10M pounds of Honey. I always enjoy listening to you talk about bees and your business.

    I agree with selling products like he talked about as long as it’s what it say and my meaning is if the label says 100% honey it’s really 100% pure the name on a item doesn’t mean anything

    Bob, I really enjoy watching your videos and have learned a lot from you. I've been keeping bees for 10 years now. My question is this, how can you ensure to your customers that the honey you are buying from other operations is pure honey. I don't see how you can ensure that a lot of what you are packaging doesn't have syrup in it

    Is there a region in the US that could be qualified as an optimum region for raising bees. I know of areas where it should be a no no...a lot if not most areas that would be considered possible to raise bees but with human intervention....but none that could qualified as a sort of ideal area to raising honey bees. Thank you for your video.

    • @bobbinnie9872
      @bobbinnie9872  Před 3 lety

      Hi Suzanne. As far as I know there are pros and cons to all areas. Southern states are generally easier.

It can be done...some have...but without our attentive care, they die. Thank you for your videos...they are always very informative.

    Hei Bob, great video as always. I was puzzled you mentioned Savanah Bees. Two years ago, we were selling to them comb honey from Bolivia and they really were demanding crazy amounts. I'm curious, are you buying honey and honey-derived products from foreign countries or USA only?

    • @bobbinnie9872
      @bobbinnie9872  Před 3 lety +1

      We only purchase honey from the USA because we sell domestic honey only. Many others, like Savannah Bee Co., also sell specialty honey from other countries which in my view is perfectly fine.

    Hey Bob,
    Hope you see this question or make another video about it. Anyways I’m in Savannah, Ga and am wondering what you are going to be using this late July early August for mite treatment. What is your choice of treatment for this year since you’re not going to be using Apivar strips?

    • @bobbinnie9872
      @bobbinnie9872  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Ryan. We'll be using Apivar gel. I've used before with good results but you would have to be careful in Savannah because it's heat sensitive.

      12 days in our most southern locations and at least 3 weeks in locations north of the shop. Of course this is a bit of a guess.

      It can and does eventually. We're lucky that our honey does not turn quickly and it sells fast. We exchange it if it does.

    Hey Bob, do y'all bottles for packaging honey? I was looking on the internet for one pound glass bottles, but the ones I came across don't guarantee they will not be broken during shipment.

    • @bobbinnie9872
      @bobbinnie9872  Před 3 lety

      Hi Jeremy. We sell and bottle into the one pound glass "classic" queenline jar by Gamber Container and the 16oz comb cylinder jar by Gamber but most of our one pound packaging goes into plastic squeeze bottles which is the only thing we will ship through the mail or UPS do to breakage problems.
