- Solo Underwater Spearfishing and Freedive adventure diving in paradise (New Zealand). I hunt for Big Crayfish (Lobster) Snapper, Kingfish, and manage to find some very tasty treats and spear some epic fish all followed by an incredible seafood catch and cook.
NOTE: Some of this this adventure was filmed in a Rahui zone (N0-take zone) NO Ocean life was removed from this area, hopefully this clears any confusion up. Cheers

Ollie im always so keen to watch your spearo vids you definetley are the best spearo content creator - im new to spearfishing but go port philip bay a little bit, you should do a challenge one day of buying the cheapest speargun and see if you can survive of the gun for a day! i think it would be a really cool idea

Hey, man! That new spot you hit up looks incredible, and the fish life there is unreal! I've been loving watching your spearfishing adventures. You've actually inspired me to start training for it myself. I'm hoping that by the time I visit NZ, I'll be half as good as you and can join you on one of your trips. Stay safe out there, Ollie!
Consider using a weighted mesh bag for your scraps you are throwing over board. Use that bag as bait for spearing. Easy to move and fill. I have found using an old fishing net works well with a couple of reusable zip ties. Cheap and easy.

I love your videos Ollie, but cutting out the tail of a live crayfish is not good form. The remaining portion of the crayfish was moving when you put it in the bag - still alive. You should dispatch a crayfish as you do a fish

What do you think about the idea that a snorkel with a purge value scares away fish? What type of snorkel do you use?
Does your roller also shoot a bit high with the loose flopper hanging down ?

All nice and beautiful (seriously - no sarcasm). But setting an example of diving alone is a huge downside of all this. Adults and experienced freedivers can make their thought-through choice, but kids may take that it's ok to dive alone. And with little to zero experience it may end up very fast and badly 😕

Isn’t it law to wear a life jacket on a boat this size! I get that in the past on the IRB you had your wet suit on the whole time so that works, but now ? As a sponsored CZcamsr you should be at the forefront of advising people of best practices!!!!!!!
It's not law to wear a life jacket in a boat under 6m in NZ , it's up to the captain based on conditions . The conditions were great so what's your problem ?
