True, but varanasi is an ancient heritage and sacred city, it has withstood numerous calamities till date.. :-)

Dont be scared. Varanasi is the oldest living city in the world. Its beauty lies in its unplanned ways and galis. 300 to 500years old houses are there. And that is historic. In other countries these will called monuments !

Let me tell u this is old part of city and in India most old city areas are like this not compulsory with lanes but old . This city has good big colonies too which no one unfortunately shows. That's new part existing from over 50 years

Trailanga swami math is near by the Panchganga ghat. You need to ask the locals for the exact whereabout of the math
