This song originated in Ukraine. This arrangement was inspired by the current situation in Ukraine. This arrangement is written in an ABA style. The A section is a very lively and represents the spirit of Christmas. The B section is a slower and somber version. This section represents the forces that try to ruin Christmas such as the Grinch, Scrooge, or war time. The song ends with the lively A section. The Christmas spirit always wins out in the end no matter what forces get in the way of Christmas. The Grinch couldn’t stop Whoville, the Scrooge found his Spirit, and even during war time opposite forces found a way to sing Christmas carols together.
