Fady & Mina - Celia

"Born in Cairo, the largest city in the Middle East, Fady & Mina (comprised of Mina Alaa and Fady Hany) have had a passion for music from an early age. Both Fady and Mina began their musical careers in their early teens and honed their skills as the years passed. Both Fady and Mina began DJ’ing in 2003 and grew a passion for the melodies and vibes of trance music and the instant connection they had between their peers alike. Throughout the early 2000’s the duo performed at many local events around Egypt and frequently aired their mixes on Cairo’s #1 radio station Nile.Fm, which only ignited their passion for the music even more. Trance music quickly became much more than a past time or hobby - it became a lifestyle that they fully immersed themselves in and dived head first into the culture of dance music production in 2006. Privy to the uplifting and classic sounds of trance, they drew on these principles and those of a new age progressive tone to develop their own unique and distinct sound.
Through dedication, perseverance, and production and audio engineering classes, they advanced their skills enough to begin producing on labels such as Canadian dance music label Omerta Records with their debut track “Aviation” in 2009. In 2011, the duo made their debut on the world-renowned trance label “Future Sound of Egypt” (which at the time was in partnership with the world’s leading dance music label Armada Music), run by fellow Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila with their EP “Egypt/Overdrive”. Their debut EP gained great support from fellow artists such as Armin Van Buuren, Aly & Fila, John O’Callaghan, Philippe el Sisi, Sean Tyas and many more.
Also in 2011, the duo came in 2nd in the “Best New Comer” category on the acclaimed Trance Podium Global Trance Awards. In 2013 they were voted #48 on the “Trance Podium Top 50 Dj’s” poll, which marked their status in the ranks of global trance artists worldwide and boosted their careers to a higher level. The duo had numerous releases and collaborations over the years, such as Philippe el Sisi vs. Fady & Mina “Zombies”, Aly & Fila vs. Fady & Mina “The Journey” (FSOE 300 Anthem), Andain - “Beautiful Things” (Fady & Mina remix), Fady & Mina “Ninja”, Aly & Fila ft. Aruna “The Other Shore” (Fady & Mina remix), Fady & Mina “Kinetics”, and Fady & Mina “Wonder Why”, which was voted #11 in the best trance track in the Trance Podium Awards in 2016. The duo’s latest release “Akemi” reached the #1 spot on Beatport trance charts and #38 on the main Beatport chart. The duo has performed in various countries and acclaimed dance music events worldwide, such as Tomorrowland in Belgium, FSOE 400 at the Great Pyramids of Giza, Next Club in Ibiza, X2 Club Jakarta, FSOE 300 at Club Escape in Amsterdam, SASZU in Prague, FSOE 300 at the Malvinas Estadiuom in Buenos Aires, and FSOE vs Subculture at Beach Club Fuel in the Netherlands.
The duo’s latest release on FSOE “Celia” is released on 28th August 2017, and they will also be performing at the FSOE 500 Egypt pre party on September 14 at the Nile Towers in Cairo", Dreamstate SoCal in November & Holland in December.
