    Thanks for the unbiased review! Great videos as always. With DM's OneWrap based pouches, if you WEAVE the first OneWrap through the MOLLE slots, then fold the other OneWrap over it, you should be able to attach any of their stuff to the exposed Tegris without them sliding around. On top of it, the hook side of the OneWrap now stick to your inner belt!! I know you already confirmed there is no belt-adhesion issues, but I don't think anyone will say no to additional insurance... 😉

    Nice, a new review from our favorite belt review channel.
    Looking forward to the new T.Rex and updated CHLK/Grid belts. Especially the option to screw a holster directly into Tegris instead of using the horrible UBL or expensive True North seems to be the next step in comfort.

    A good work around for the back would be adding some adhesive back Velcro strips onto it. I run a goose ODM for my holster and use this method to not lose Velcro continuity.

  • @donkeydefense
    @donkeydefense Před rokem +12

    It's an interesting design, but I feel like its an unnecessarily overcomplicated product when there could just be cordura sewn onto the tegris like on other belts.

    • @texasranger24
      @texasranger24 Před rokem +1

      Some exposed Tegris might be the way forward. Have you seen the new holsters that screw directly into your belt from Blue Alpha Gear? Seems way comfier than UBL or True North holster adapters.
      So instead of this belt, we need a DM Mech belt with holster screw-in options and canted mounting options for these A+ tier pistol pouches.

    What are your thoughts on choosing belt generation for the application? Example: I understand having the tail of the belt weave in before connecting the buckle makes for a sturdier platform in the latest generation, but in a home defense scenario I just want to bring the two halves together, click it, and go. Probably want a pad instead of inner and outer in that scenario aswell

    @theredcelt627 Před rokem +1

    Well, I’m kind of torn. I was worried about slop with the smart MOLLE attachment with the Defense Mechanisms. I really like that I can get an interwoven attachment with this , but that lack of back panel does mess with some of the attachment versatility. The biggest bonus for me is the additional sizing flexibility for those of us who have trouble maintaining a consistent weight.
    I think the DM would be better for guys who change their gear a lot, but the most I usually change is adding or removing rifle mag pouches depending on the training I’m doing.
    I hoped this review would help me settle whether I should go with the DM or the HRT, but I’m just as conflicted.

    • @ValhallaTactical
      @ValhallaTactical Před rokem

      If you are looking for rigid, bombproof pouch connections... look no further. These will never slop like OneWrap-based systems. In fact they hold as tight as MALICE, but much lighter. As to rear attachment, if you stick with those Tegris straps you can attach pretty much anything to the back. FYI, pouches are NOT actually ATTACHED to the sleeves - they pass through the sleeve and attach to the core inside. The sleeves are not load-bearing. So weaving pouches at 6 o'clock are no difference than weaving pouches at 3 o'clock. 👊

    IDK how the HRT can be in #2 if they are pulling a Spiritus Systems by selling you 1/2 of an outer belt. This make HRT belt the only THREE PIECE belt on the market. Unless the back sleeve has some super cool options that vary in more than just color but also function (panel?, pouch?) Maybe it will be cool, but not sure. I am holding out that the back sleeve includes a version that incorporates a med kit or the short zipper panel design that HRT uses on the back of their Plate Carriers. That would be smart, but we shall see.
