I like the technique of the stinger hook threaded through the swimbait, but I think the technique for tying the line to the front hook could be improved. You’d be surprised how well it would hold with a few drops of superglue that should be in every man’s tackle box. The front hook could be replaced with a jig head so the torpedo weight would be unnecessary. But all in all, I like the concept. I would like to see you run the lure through a water tank or get a video of you cranking it through the water so we could see if the rear hook negatively impacts the action.

Weaving machine needle, often used to thread earthworms. Available at fishing tackle stores !

I wonder if this can work for shore fishing where you have to cast and real, that weight looks set problematic.
To me, this mass could easily be cast hundreds of meters away. If you are tall and have a long arm span, your prey will fly even further!
