Great design, creepy voice and a sympathetic backstory. Redtooth has to be one of the strongest villains I have seen this year. I do wish they explored upon his backstory more in depth.
There is an interesting difference in the original Chinese version: Seven speaks two different languages, he speaks Mandarin with a funny Cantonese accent (when he can not recall his memory) in daily life, which make him sound like a fool, but he speaks very cool, cold and standard Cantonese every time when he recalls he was a killer. This contrast is amazing.
Yeah the hype I feel whenever he speaks in a different dialect as Shadow Assassin Seven is something that the dubs can never make me feel. When he speaks Cantonese you just _know_ that things are going to get serious.
Something like that would be very hard to replicate in English. We should probably be glad they didn't try to give Seven a Brooklyn accent or something. 😁
This show is the next generation of Gintama. They both are a comedic show that have serious moment and sad moment. Cool fight scene and great character development. It felt like Scissor Seven are the upgrades version of Gintama. I mean look at that Granny, I thought she's just a gag character with Bullshit power up. Turns out she's really strong and have a story of how she become that strong.
Even though I like the cold blooded, no emotion, rational assassin the hot blooded, bloodlust filled, psychotic killer I like a bit more especially if they have monster like qualities it’s just a certain charisma to them
The only reason he’s that strong is because of the blood demon, even with the white lily seal restraining his full powers. Imagine how strong someone like Green Phoenix or Seven could be if they had the blood demon
