9. Orcas
Orcas are powerful and impressive apex predators. Even great white sharks are afraid of them!! They are famous for beaching themselves and grabbing seals and sealions right off the shore. Then they will play with their food a bit before eating it. But did you know that they will also eat deer and moose? How is that even possible?
8. Giant Trevally
The giant trevally is said to only be afraid of humans, and sharks. Everything else is fair game! They are a big muscular fish and will eat just about anything, body slamming its prey then swallowing it in a single bite! The BBCâs Blue Planet II was amazingly able to capture giant trevally fish leaping out of the water to catch flying birds!!
7. Silver Arowana
A long fish that is native to the Amazon, the Silver Arowana is famous for being a powerful predator. Their mouths are at the top of their body and their jaws, palate, tongue and pharynx all have teeth. As you can guess from all of their teeth they are carnivorous and they tend to feed on other fish at the surface.
6. Northern Snakehead
In 2019, an invasive fish species was discovered in Georgia, USA that had the ability to breathe air and survive on land. After a fisherman caught a northern snakehead fish in a pond on private property, the wildlife resources division of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources set out to find if the invasive species was found in the lakes around the area.
5. Eel Catfish
The Eel Catfish is a fish that actually hunts on land!! It lives in the tropical swamps of Africa where not many researchers can get to, so for a long time, we didnât know very much about them! Until Belgian scientists went there to see for themselves.
4. Archer Fish
While the archer fish might look like any other ordinary fish, it has a surprising hunting technique! They love to eat insects and spiders but again, the problem is, they might be near the edge of the water but they donât usually go in. So they have developed an epic super soaker gun that is able to shoot water like a bullet!!
3. European Catfish
Of course itâs difficult for fish to actually hunt land animals but the European wels catfish has evolved to grab pigeons by the river bank. They will leap onto the sand and catch the bird, dragging it back into the water for a tasty snack. So far it is only the European Wels Catfish in the Tarn River in Albi, France that are known to do this.
2. Sharks
Sharks are opportunistic hunters and eat all kinds of animals. Land animals might be more difficult but if there are animals near the water, they wonât hesitate to grab them if they are hungry!! Like orcas, sharks have eaten deer, polar bears, dogs, snakes and even! Wait for it...an echidna, which is kind of like a porcupine.
1. Rainbow Trout
You might not think of the Rainbow Trout as a fish that might be harmful to other species. But anglers in New Zealand recently found that their catch of the day was a little more than they bargained for. Rainbow trout are famous for their fighting spirit and ability to leap out of the water. Upon inspecting their catch of a large trout, fishermen found the remains of many mice inside! Somehow, these mice found their way into the water where the trout decided they looked like a tasty meal.

Hey everyone, if you had to pick one, would you rather be a killer whale or a blue whale?

Blue whale. I'm too pacifist to be an Orca.
Don't lie who is at home And watching CZcams all day đđ đ
Me
I watch CZcams but rather use my time reading a good book, at the moment I'm finishing a compilation of extraordinary stories from Edgar Allan Poe.

Me
Me. But in the future I will be living on my own without money.
I think the best way to advocate for the rights of humans is directly as someone part of a discriminated group actually standing up for their rights. That's why I feel compelled to at some point be in such a position. Remaining sheltered from the wrath of the current economic system is not a good way to address it. I will live without money, fighting for my rights (going on hunger strikes every so often). When offerred a job I like, I will ask for no pay. If they pay me, I will strike. I will sleep along trails and in parks.
Several years ago, my office was in a marina accross the street from the main office. My desk looked out over the marina and in December, I saw a seagull land in the water and swim around for about 30 seconds and from underneath it, a seal caught it in its mouth and dove under the water & that was the last I saw of it. So amazing to witness though because I never knew seagulls were on a seals menu!đł

Um sorry to tell you, those are deer that are being taken down by the wales (the one swimming across the water), those are Elk. They are significantly larger then deer & you can tell by the horns. Deer horns are also a lot smaller & Elk horns are larger and take a different shape.
Origins explained does not approve
Thank you I didnât think anyone else would acnolage that
Theo Tippy Lol Iâm so used to it. I live in Eastern Oregon at the base of the Blue Mountains (literally I open my front door & the bottom of the mountains are like 5-10 miles away) & have a TON of white tails deer around all year, they come into my yard & drink out of our kids pool in the summer. In the Winter we have so many elk that come down (they literally come into our yard). When we have people from out of town come out & see the deer, they always say âOmg we saw elk on our way out!â Lol then we usually have to tell them âThose were deer, not elk. Then explain the differenceâ.
I really like that you put the List in your description. Wish y'all did that more often.
The orca pods in Argentina learned to hunt that way back in the 80s when 2 males learned how to do that and taught the others. It wasnt because 'food was scarce' it was an evolution in hunting culture.

a bird eating fish? do you mean a fish eating bird? 2.55
Bird eating fish = a fish that preys on birds (like the Giant trevally)
fish eating bird = birds that prey on fish (like herons, pelicans and such).
