How long does it take to respond to temperature ? I had mine outside last night to calibrate the -2 Degrees Celsius outside temperature ....

Should start responding immediately to temperature changes. A good way to test it, is put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes or so . . . . then pull it out and put in temperature mode, you should see it start updating immediately.
