FILM DESCRIPTION:
After graduating from Harvard, Bryan Stevenson heads to Alabama to defend those wrongly condemned or those not afforded proper representation. One of his first cases is that of Walter McMillian, who is sentenced to die in 1987 for the murder of an 18-year-old girl, despite evidence proving his innocence. In the years that follow, Stevenson encounters racism and legal and political maneuverings as he tirelessly fights for McMillian's life.

Although there are still some injustices here in America now, those brave and honorable men and women of the past who fought the injustices of Black people, have paved the way to a better world today. And all of us owe our freedoms and opportunities to them and the Lord. Be good people.

We watched and read it in eng 11 and had to write an essay on it and this aint even the worst story in the book it gets a lot worse

He had about 10 people who could corroberate his alibi .with no criminal convictions this was ignored .no dna .witnesses .hair fibre .put on death row .even though INNOCENT TILL PROVEN OTHERWISE .CROCKED COPS LAWYER .THE SAD THING IS THEY R ABOVE REPROCE.NEVER PUNISHED FOR THERE ACTIONS .like the film said 100s on death row .due to INADEWUATE LEGAL REPRESENTATION. WRONG MAN THIS WAS IN 1986 AS WELL.

The second judge in the same courtroom after Foster in the incident that Walter's son, John couldn't take the decision that sent him into frustration at him for killing his family. I mean frustration at him as at the initial judge. Foster took a break from his job after the incident of John's frustration at the judge.
