You've more or less said it yourself- Geoff hits those lows with such regularity and accuracy, with such a full tone (a variety of them, to be honest!) that it's almost redundant to give him the vipers. I think, by now, we ought to acknowledge that Geoff simply IS a Pit Viper, or maybe THE Pit Viper, as he epitomizes them so well!
I’m sure you have been told, Geoff is not in this video. Darryl, Jeoph, Goff and Jeff. First time they have been able to record unsupervised. Geoff said Darryl was in charge. I think Goff should have been in charge. He is the most responsible close. He is the onlty one who didn’t go to prison. ❤❤

Can't remember if you looked at his Ghost Riders but these are the same guys who did that, but without Geoff himself. They also did a mock ad for the coffee shop. I think it was Huldra Draco who put that out. On a different theme Geoff's Shenandoah has some lovely riffing from him. Or one of him anyway.
He's done reactions to both Ghost Riders and Shenandoah, though I don't think the Shenandoah got put in the Reactions playlist

Geoff is my favorite vocalist. You are one of my favorite analysts! There is another that I really like tied with you... (Charismatic Voice). You are probably my favorite at critiquing Geoff, because you are are a bass evaluating a bass. Personally, I would love to hear you as a guest vocalist in VoicePlay! That would be awesome!!
Charismatic Voice! 🤗 ... the way she gets the giggles when Geoff's bass drops to the 1's -- or anyone else's bass too.😂 I've learned a lot about the structure of the vocal tract and recognized that I do some of those things, but now I'm also learning about anatomy and growing my vocabulary.

I really appreciate the awe between singers that truly recognize and respect the skills of a colleague, the joy in experiencing them doing well! Geoff is nothing but a phenomenon (that sure spikes some pheromones), but you have a brilliant way of pointing out that he is not just a freak of nature, but has built up the skills over years and years of training and learning not just technique, but some really deep musical understanding.
As someone more fond of opera than country or game music, I often find myself underwhelmed by the quality of the songs chosen, but the renditions never fail to impress me! I hope for a little break from at least country, perhaps the two of you could cooperate in making a brand new Sarastro?

I glanced through the comments and didn't see this but Darryl, Jeoph, Goff and Jeff are playing the roles of the ghost riders from the previous ghost riders video however this is before they passed on over to the other side. Love your reactions and the analysis you give. Can't wait to see if you react to Black Hole Sun by VP.
Did you happen to see Jeff's coffee commercial at Daryl's Cafe ? He is too funny.
Left to right we have: Goff, Daryl, Jeoph, and Jeff - the Ghost Riders before they died and were cursed to eternally ride. One of the plug ins for this cover was labeled "Tubular Bells." Most of the costumes from Ghost Riders in the Sky were in storage and Rick Underwood still had most of the hair pieces saved. This is the first time this particular background set at PattyCake Productions was used. The percussion you mention around timestamp 19:14 also reminds me of a heartbeat.

Did you notice voiceplay just released Black hole sun? It's truly amazing.
He's pretty much using the instrumentation and vocal arrangement from the song in the game with a style and flair only he brings to songs.
If you haven't played RDR2 and you like essentially open world games you can explore as you please and follow the storyline when you want, I highly recommend it. Be forewarned, though, your actions in the game determine a lot of things (trying not to give it away too much). When this song is playing in the game, your character has seen friends gunned down, barely escaped himself, ended up shipwrecked, helped a group rebel against those in control of the island he landed on, finally made it back, and he's riding back to the hideout in a cutscene while this is playing.
That would be ace to hear you and Geoff together. Always enjoy your analysis!

Amazing video! I loved Geoff's cover of this (don't know the original at all), and also loved your analysis. I think I've commented before that I roomed with a music major in college; it was a small college, a small music department, and my roommate had the best stereo in the department. I can't count the number of times I came home to our apartment to find all the music students sitting/lying in our living room, gathered around the speakers, analyzing compositions. You teach me something new every time I listen to your analysis! I'm definitely looking forward to your new album :)

As for his range, I think he started high and then went on to learn and sing lower, not the other way round. Now, apparently not anyone can do this - however, I think that's the reason why he sings even the higher parts in comparative ease (?).
