This is my favourite pumpkins album... so dark and serene. A true classic.

Totally agree. To my mind, one of the greatest pieces of musical art I've ever heard.
      Pure genius!

I agree, it's high brow art. It's a real mature and developed piece of work. A daring album as well.

Wife divorced, mother died, touring member dead of overdose and the greatest drummer on the planet lost from your band. And multi million sold superalbum which you are to follow on. I'm surprised Corgan even managed to spawn another album. I would just fall to pieces.

For me, he is a true artist. He cared deeply for his music and got ridiculed a lot. His vision was strong and no one really could get in the way. As a musician, he gave me all the tools I need to keep believing in what I do. Thanks Billy.

  • @ohareport

you can just feel billy’s pain. you can hear him trying to accept that pain as being what life feels like for him now.
this record is a masterpiece because it is such a baring of an artist’s soul, of their uncompromising sorrow, an embrace of their flaws and a realisation that the world they grew up in is now over.
successfully communicating that musically and sonically as a team effort with the band members and engineering/mixing crew is almost unheard of.
i’m so grateful that they worked through this for us, this dark and sublime album of night music and sadness.
if only they’d marketed it as the pumpkins’ “acoustic album”.

For me it's Corgan's best album ever - people just weren't ready for its greatness, wanted too much another "Mellon Collie..." vibed record back then.

I’ve loved most Pumpkins music over the years - when they came on the radio. I really never made any effort to go deeper or get curious. OMG - but, now - It’s like super new for me. I’m hooked and curious. I’m loving all the new Billy interviews - I love listening to him talk and all the reasons why. So, I guess I’m a little in the game - but I’m hooked. Thank you Billy 😄❤️😄❤️😄😄😄

She did it to her self. Billy reached out to her and wanted her to be a part of the reunion and the new albums but she’s unfortunately a chaotic mess mixed up in drugs and alcohol and mental illness and he doesn’t wanna be a part of that and neither does James or Jimmy

Be thankful for the D'Arcy we had in the 1990s, not the D'arcy we have now. She is not coming back. She doesn't have the needed skills to play bass nor the desire to stand on any stage with Billy. Their separation and feud is an irreconcilable mess at this point in time. Why bother? I have no desire to see her contribute to any Pumpkins albums in the future.

What song is this 17:37 they’re recording? I’ve been trying tonfigure it out for years! They played it on another documentary, MTV Ultrasound, but had Billy talking over it and I could never figure out what it was. Someone tried to say it was Saturnine, but I don’t believe that at all, definitely doesn’t sound like it to me. It plays at the 15 minute mark: czcams.com/video/5TVaE_-GMxc/video.htmlsi=O7_Epn9jYLlpYLye
