@Harry Waddington that is true and churches such as St John Cantius demonstrate this. However, there are differences of substance and content from the TLM. If you’re not familiar with the history behind the differences check out the Ottaviani Intervention. This difference is also evident when celebrating the Eastern Rites.

There is so much pain, suffering, child abuse & injustice in the world, yet petty bureaucrats spend their time on this made-up insignificant problem! Ps. Yes, I know that Inquisition didn't kill many people. For example, the most notorious Inquisition (Spanish Inquisition) killed only 3000 people throughout its existence (appr. 300 yrs). That makes 10 people per year, that's less than executions by us government. Also, we need to distinguish between Secular and Church Inquisitions. That's crucial.
And yes, word "Inquisition" is from latin word "inquaerere" which means "to discover, or" to acknowledge"

The Tridentine Mass or TLM is the One True Mass of the One True Faith. But I have found that most trads (including trained modern clergy) do not understand that the modern version of the TLM (Mass of pope John XXII aka 1962 missal) is not properly the Tridentine Mass of Trent (Mass of St Pope Pius V). It was only chosen by Lefebvre (and select others) as the very last mass that could "still be" considered Catholic; and not because it was the best mass to feed the Traditional Catholic faith. Lefebvre and select others signed off on all the Vatican II docs (even if they only later may have regretted them).
The major content was the liturgy and not Ecumenism. That second thorn of Ecumenism, only came into large scale contention after Assisi 1986. Lefebvre did not oppose pJPII (who he believed was a legit Pope) or even reject the 1983 Johanno-Pauline Code as far as I understand it. And this is the code of Canon law the SSPX uses today (just like all Novus Ordo believers), and not the 1917 or Pio Benedictine Code; even if at times (if sparsely at that anymore) they appeal to it.
The changes (to the TRUE Mass) first began under Pius XI (who was still thoroughly Catholic I believe but ill advised to say the least) towards the Mass that would begin the juggernaut. Most ignore the first major and significant change to the Mass (not withstanding Canon Law which is a whole other discussion altogether); and that is the introduction of the 'Dialogue Mass'.
It was the first step in downgrading and replacing the priest and elevating laity to equality with the priest (an early "all inclusiveness"). Ever wondered how we got communion in the hand? Welk this is the starting line - the Dialogue mass.
The next-generation of significant changes came in the mid 1950's and showed how ready the church was now under Pius XXII for greater change. The Easter week rites were significantly revised and vigils abolished by 1960. A very important one was the All Hollows eve vigil - very important for keeping the true Fatima message.
Next came Vatican II and all Hell broke loose. The rest is history.

So the Tridentine mass is the true mass, but between 1922 and 1962 (40 years) it was wounded. Then it was butally mutilated in the interim mass of 1965. And finally desecrated, no longer a Catholic mass at all as it was utterly destroyed in mass of Paul V.
This excerpt (video above) from Palestrinas Mass of Pope Marcellus is a papal coronation mass and not a standard Solemn High Mass that you might find at say St John Cantius or a large FSSP Sunday celebration. I see Solemn High masses with lots of smoke (incense) and Gregorian chant, polyphinic choral arrangements shown on the internet demonstrating how reverent the TLM is. But it's not common reality.
Most TLM's you'll find today (Mass of John XXII or the 62 liturgy) are actually poorly done low mass. The Solemn High masses are a 50/50 deal (as far as accuracy goes) but usually better done since they are commonly found in more wealthy upscale Catholic centers with wealthy orders conducting them.
Average Diocesan TLM's (62 missal) especially those incorrectly called 'missa cantata' or sung mass (which are usually hybrids of low and high but sung) are the worst as only a high mass can be a Sung Mass.
The simple point is that the above example of pride and pompey is not the real reason one should attend the TLM although I suppose it can be a starting point.
I like to see the traditionalist movement move toword a true Restoration including the abolishing of the Dialogue mass and a return to the real Catholic Mass of Pius V (w/ Pius X rubrics) because.... they have already began to tamper with the 62 missal since 2007 and Summorum Pontificum to make it conform to the modernist faith. The latest development in this and that went totally under the radar during Covid lockdowns was the adding of prefaces for the 62 missal including a wedding preface (lifted almost word for word from the Novus Ordo) in the summer of last year 2020 that almost no laity have been told of.
All the Big Wig celebrity Trads did not report on it did they? No because they are 100% Vatican II also. They just want the mass thier way. They'd actually be happy with the 65 missal if that's all they could get and never mutter a word against it.
Tradiziones Custodes only reinforces what Ratzinger demanded - submission to the Novus Ordo. And that had not been given and so now it will be strictly controlled and slowly celebrated inaccordance with the Novus Ordo theology and saints.

As you can see I have has to go no further the Wikipedia in most cases to construct a chronological timeline of systematically changing, destroying and inverting the Tridentine Mass since 1922 (and I have not even gon into the nouvelle théologie movenent (New Theology Movement) and how it developed under modernism to effect the liturgy) to show that the 62 missal is although still Catholic (it is barely so). Ultra conservative modern (neo-trads) Catholics can still accept it, even prefer it, but is not purely Catholic and will be modernized into hybrid in the near future.

As someone who is thinking 9f joining it is the traditions that has drawn me to the church.
Pope Francis's new edict about the Latin mass breaks my heart. I feel like I might miss out on the very thing that has drawn me and most converts of I know to the church.
Because of covid I have yet to attend a mass in person due to living in am extremely high risk household.

I hear "Do you speak Latin? Do you want everyone to speak Latin in order to attend Mass?" I say, if someone is able to evangelize and be a witness of God with one's life (even without words) what is so crazy about seeing solemn, beautiful and lovable worship to God even if we don't hear everything said by the priest? Latin Mass is a beautiful treasure that must be kept.
As an Orthodox, my heart breaks for my Western brothers and sisters who have never attended a traditional liturgy.
The Novus Ordo is an absolute joke in comparison to the glory of your traditional Latin Mass.

The Mass is the Primary Prayer of the Catholic Church. The Mass does not sacrifice Jesus again. Jesus sacrificed Himself only once. The Mass removes all of the restrictions of time and place, and makes us actually present at Jesus Christ's one-and-only Sacrifice. It is truly the Most Beautiful Thing this side of Heaven!

Great video. TLM is a gift, meditative, traditional and mystery in sights, sounds and scents. The adoration at the alter is powerful, all facing east. I highly recommend attending. You don’t need to know a thing, you don’t need to follow along in the missal (although I find it enjoyable as well) just go and be meditative. Also, the sermon is in English…

My father was a TLM server when he was a teenager in 1950's.
I am a traditionalist and love Latin Mass.
So, you shouldn't name yourself as traditionalist. You are normal catholic, who despite of crisis in Church haven't lost the faith. Tradition is true way of The Christ's Church which is unchanged, His mystical Body, supernaturally and overtime. God bless you :-)

I do not understand why they took this away from us, and they hold us in such contempt for simply desiring it again.
I think it’s because the TLM raises a mirror they don’t want to look into and make them conclude realities they don’t want to acknowledge.

For the Modern man/women the N O doesn't seem to require them to examine their conscience or humble themselves before God or stand in awe before God, it's more about feeling good about ourselves and having a pleasant time. Which is why they rarely mention sin.

It's beautiful but a bit confusing because the kyrie is at the start of Mass. I often think maybe it would be good to arrange for the Tallis Scholars to sing during the traditional Mass rather than just do recording. By the way look at Alamire in Henry's Music. They reconstruct and dress as a real Catholic Choir in Arundel in the Duke of Norfolk's Chapel at the time just before Henry's deformation.
There is a lot missing as well as more lighting would help show what is going on. But for someone who has a history with the TLM, the point is taken.
