Does somebody on the anime team have a vore fetish? Because they keep having various things try, and sometimes succeed at, eating Yuuki, this time in the form of turning him into pudding. He always ends up fine in the end, but seriously. If this story was just a little darker I'm pretty sure they would've even gone so far as to show characters digesting him a little before being saved.

Squick aside, a lot food dyes are made with bugs - if you read "natural food coloring", many times it means the color chemical was extracted from bugs (not always tho, a lot are plants and stuff). The news just singled out Starbucks because it makes good headlines when you read "Starbucks uses bugs in your drinks!" Starbucks have since used other sources to color drinks/food.
To be fair, if all that food tasted as good as is depicted, who cares what it came from? Nom results > Nom source ingredients.
