We broke this pair of young Friesians - their owner now does weddings with them. This clip shows them being driven through town past roadworks, large lorries and even a helicopter in the High street. We also take them to Tescos!
Too bad more folks don't train their horses like that. Lots of kind words and encouragement from the driver. Good job !!!!
Never fail to be amazed at this man's skill driving. Fresians always look hot, as if they will take off at the slightest excuse but Barry has them trained to a whisker. Respect!

well behaved horses.city people today don't realize that everything can be a monster to horses.they look well matched too since the left one held steady when the other broke into a canter.our driving club has a desensitizing clinic every year and you have given me some ideas.i'm impressed ....

@hanaippon We asked him to do that with the trolley to show that the horses were unfazed by such an unusual noise close to them. Everything we do with the horses is done for a reason and our aim is to produce horses that are safe, happy and confident in any sphere of harness work. This pair of horses have gone on to do commercial work, so needed to experience a variety of situations that they could encounter when on a job.

Greetings from a friesian island. We have no cars here and all transportation etc. is done by horsepower. I have seen a lot of trustfull teamwork between horses and drivers but your work is amazing. Especially the part from 4:41 and on. I love how they listen to you. Great.

@AndreyaPolo Thank you for your comment - we do provide a funeral service; if you watch our other video "Four-in-hand funeral" you can see a turnout we provided for Chris White funeral directors in Salisbury. We have other videos on here of Friesians that have gone on to do commercial work - all our horses are trained to the same standard whether they work commercially or just for pleasure driving. @OneMinTuts We break stallions too - if you go to our CZcams channel there are several videos of stallions doing exactly the same thing as this pair. Also the video titled "Hammerhead on a roof-seated break" shows 5 4-year-old Friesian stallions; they were trained to do commercial work so yes they can be calm in traffic and work together happily.
I can't believe that trucker almost ran you guys off the road!!! WTF? (I had that problem too in Atlanta when I drove carriages there. Good god! Bad drivers are all over the world, eh?) Again... after watching this entire clip, I am super impressed with your work and your results! The obstetrical course was also equally impressive. Do you train camels too? LOL (I got one in my backyard who's needing to get broke!)

I'm so impressed!They are my favorite driving breed. You did a wonderful job. Do you live in the u.s. I had a standerbred I bought off the track. He was good the first summer Not spooky but I boarder him for the winter and when I came back in the spring I had a different horse. I tried working it out of him but was afraid I'd get hurt. I'm a 64 yr. old woman and he was just to much for me so I sold him. Still love to drive, its in my blood.
..as an undertaker i'd hire you and your pair in a flash. ... get yourself a marsden hearse!!
