This game showed a side of Messi that is not often talked about, his humility. When they called him to pick up the trophy as captain, he recognized that Yedlin was the original captain until recently so he gave him the armband and asked for him to come and pick up the trophy. Yedlin was pleasantly surprised by the gesture. Messi is not just the greatest footballer of all time but also one of the most humble super stars ever. That is why all the players he has ever played with love him including great players like Luis Suarez and Neymar. He is a great credit to his parents and his family.

Callender hasn’t been the problem for Miami. Most saves in the league. Their problem has been the injuries to all of their DPs-which kills teams in MLS. The team made the playoffs last year-when they were healthier.

Oh my god, this final was unbelievable RAW. An outstanding goal from Messi, Nashville perfomance, that unbelievable fail for the second goal for Inter Miami with Campana amd Callender being best the goalkeeper of the game and give Miami the win. He is still accepting new challenges and adventures at 36, even though he was contemplating retirement 5 years ago. He is scoring goals like crazy, helping his teammates improve, and loving every minute of it. It's not money or fame that drives him forward, it's passion. A superb role model. What a GOAT.

David Beckham is an absolute genius. He brings in Messi, the greatest player in our lifetime so far, and not only transforms the Miami team, but brought the entire MLS to life. People are actually excited now, the US has soccer that is watchable.

I’m unsure what’s the purpose of 3 semi retired professional players on the Miami team to play in a half amateur league. Maybe next time Messi should play against women’s team.
