I, like most of your followers, just love and look forward to all your videos and lives. Today, I was having surgery, came home feeling low and watching the baby goats and getting caught on your live, just lifted my spirits. Thank you so much for being wonderful people with positive outlooks on life.
You guys been absolutely joy tonight, full of humor and laughter. Thank you for bringing that to us as we all need it. Have a wonderful evening, enjoy your night. God bless.
I had a chihuahua named Chip. He was friendly and hardly ever barked. Everyone loved my baby. He has been gone for two years, and I still miss him so much!!
My first production to see was The Music Man. I was 8 years old. Front row with my best friend and her sister. I'm 72 and I still smile thinking about how amazing it was for us. We're 1300 miles apart and still best friends.
I’m in Canada and we drive to Toronto about 2 hrs from my house. Recently I went and seen the musical Six with my daughter. It was amazing, the drive into Toronto wasn’t great but the show made up for it!
I already ate a salad for dinner and now I am thinking about the foods Brooke and Jason diiscussed. The power of suggestion is real! Another great LIVE! Well, of course they are all great but the fun and respectful repartee between Brooke and Jason is always a treat. And I cannot imagine how it happened but I actually want 2 young female baby goats. It isn't feasible but I can dream.
It's been raining here up on our mountain for the last 4 days even though it says no rain it's raining right now at 2:30 as I'm watching you after doing my work the baby goats are just looking so cute and honey with her little ankle boots and I'm so glad to see nugget out and about and so sad I cried when you took all the eggs and there were no babies I felt the loss I hope you're all well and aloha from Hawaii
My daughter, granddaughter and I went to see To Kill A Mockingbird on Sunday afternoon. The star was Richard Thomas who played John Boy on the Waltons. It was really good. If you ever get a chance to see it, please go.
We use to go to a dinner theater once or twice a year. The first time my guy took me I was thrilled. The dinner selections were limited and so good. Dessert and drinks were served during intermission. To me it was always such a special trip so we took my daughter and son inlaw once. My son inlaw had never been exposed to that sort of thing so he loved it. Unfortunately Covid put an end to it all. They never reopened.
It's always fun and enjoyable to watch the live with all of the comments and laughter that I get out of Jason and Brooke 😂 And they have a way of talking about food that makes me hungry 😂 But I love them so much and it's so much fun 😊 God bless the family 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Brenda Gantt Just amazes me! She’s 77 years old does her cooking runs a B&B and does her own yardwork, mows and plants and I just don’t know where she gets her energy!!!
I always loved it when I spend the summer with my grandparents grandma would alternate hot breakfast and two days of cereal. One day I would have sliced bananas and the other would be sliced peaches. It didn't matter what the cereal was I loved this.
I have to be clear to Jason. A Arnold Palmer is not make with sweater tea but with unsweetened and lemonade would be to sweet. Nice you went to a play. I hope Mary Karl can see more plays. Growing up in the Chicago area plays are a staple at school s and in most towns. And in the city.
Chicago is known for their theatres...comedy clubs I'm in NW IN, so Chicago is a quick easy destination for everything ! Museums , seeing great Art, architecture, dining, the lakefront, festivals, concerts, shopping!
I tuned in alittle late, heard you talking about kudzu. 😮 VirginiaI is eaten up with kudzu. We'd be glad to ship you some.. Or all,.. to Alabama, with or without a banjo on our knee. Love ya'll, Mary in Mechanicsville, Va
I saw the Baskerville play on April 7th here at the Ocala Civic Theater in Ocala, Florida and it was really fun it had a touch of humor. I’m going to see Escape to Margaritaville this weekend and looking forward to it. Glad you had a nice Mother’s Day Brooke. 😊💕 I was so sad that all of the Emu eggs were bad 😢 Very happy Nugget is recovering and Goldie seems oblivious to no babies. 🙏❤️
Oh Mrs Brooke every mom feels that Daddy can do know wrong especially when you have a teenage daughter. Trust me daughters come back around to mama especially for grand babies and many other amazing moments.
❤ so happy ya’ll had a great time at the play and what a fun way to celebrate Mother’s Day. It’s always tricky when you have little goat kids or other animals. I have a young 8wk old puppy, a 4wk bottle kitten and 4 goat kids (but mostly their mamas take care of them but we are doing kid share) so I can’t be gone too long! ❤😂
The first play I saw was "Little Women". A local theater group came to our high school & put in on in our auditorium. I loved the play, the book & the movie.
Brooke & Jason- I'm A last child of 3. I was Dads lil girl. I loved Mom and I often was negative or showed no interest in Moms tastes or suggestions once I got MCs age. My Mom was my best friend. I realized she was even earlier than I thought as I've aged. Jason keep showing her examples of a good man & Brooke she'll come around. Loves to y'all

Your feed store stories reminded me of when I worked in and ole time hardware store. Dogs, I had 4 chihuahuas for 18 years lol.
Brooke, your Zip Lock storage bags are specially designed with a pleat in the bottom to allow for more food storage & allow bag to stand independently while filling it. Good luck with your great snack idea.
Whether river rice mush or kudzu jelly, I sure do love watching y'all! Have a wonderful evening and enjoy your tacos! Husband here has surprised me with take away Chinese food. Yum!
My family lived in Clanton. My gf Jasper Dennis (has a road named for him in Clanton) had his children bundle up kudzu and shipped it across the country.
My mother was a thrift store shopper, and in our neighborhood in the 1970s that was considered very weird. I wore unique vintage items in high school and was, again, considered very weird. Anyway, that's how i got the bug and it's been lifelong.
Hi From Auckland New Zealand - have been following right from your other homestead - have loved seeing your progress on your new property - i miss seeing Nugget racing around the paddocks
I caught you live at the midway point so now I'm going back to see the entirety. So glad you all enjoyed the play! Sounds like fun. I love plays. I'll bet you looked awesome in your deerstalker hat back in the day Jason. I'm envious of Brooke getting to bottle feed those precious babies. So sweet and fulfilling. MaryCarl is stepping into her mama's shoes with the thrifting. I'm sure it's genetic. Loved this video! Have a great day!💕
I just taught my 4wk old baby goats to bottle feed this week. It’s just supplemental and to make them super friendly. These triplets are mini goats alpine/nigerian dwarfs. Helps to put them up at night for baby goat bedtime.
I'm listening to your story about taking Mary Carl to the thrift store and it's so cute and I have to wonder is she a daddy's girl cuz it sounds like it and it's so sweet.
I use to live in Marion NC and they had Kudzu growing all over the place. While living there in Marion, I went to McDowell Technical College and I had a Southern Culture class, and we had a presentation we had to do about the South. One girl did her's on Kudzu and she even made Kudzu Jelly and we all got to try it with biscuits she also brought. It was good!! I really like it.
My gran used to make elderflower jam(jelly to you), elderflower wine and elderberry wine. I remember helping her and my greatest regret is we didn't write out her recipes.
My mother & her sister & sis-n-law used to 'sweat out' summer evenings in our kitchen making elderberry wine & putting up preserves/jams, canning green bean, etc. Me & my sisters & cousins ran wild in the twilight waiting for 'lightening bugs' to come out playing tag & hide n seek.... GREAT memories
I read that kudzu is an invasive species. Here in the Pacific Northwest, ivy, several versions of it, are invasive, which is sad because it’s so pretty, but it doesn’t stop and kills trees. I was clearing some out, dropped one leaf, and 3 weeks later it had sprouted. Why is it that the plants we love aren’t as industrious? I so enjoy time with you two. Thanks 😊🌿💚🌿💐
We also had one of our department stores do that twice a year. They called it Dollar Days, and people lined the main street for at least one block 4 or 5 deep.
My mother worked for the highway dept here in Kentucky and she said kudzu was planted by the highway depth to control weeds beside the roadways. She went to work there about 1944 thru the till 1960.
Kudzu is the most invasive plant in South Carolina! Oh my gosh- it covers everything!

Sounds like ya’ll had a wonderful Mother’s Day. Going to Plays starts here during the Summer Nights, they also perform a Cabaret after the show . It’s called The Barn Theatre. I don’t attend as much as I’d like due to fostering 2 elderly tiny dogs, plus tickets are expensive. How fun running into folks that love ya 🐾🤗
Regarding “thrifting “… I have thrifted clothing and other items since I was 15.. I still thrift, find great buys.. purchase clothing to use their material for projects and then also to wear. Nothing new with exception of a few clothing pieces once in a while. I would pay more than $3 or $5 dollars for clothing and other things. Still do at a wonderful age of 73!!!
I’m good at thrift shopping too Brooke and Hv to ban myself sometimes but I up cycle lots of it or fix up and on sell as I’m on a sickness benefit that I can’t survive on sadly I hd a house fire in January n lost everything including house but my dog and I are lucky to be alive Deb nz ❤❤
Do y'all have a hibiscus tree? If so flower jelly made from hibiscus is awesome! You can use Kadzu root to replace arrow root powder, in Chinese medicine it is also used to tincture the leaves for heart disease, to treat alcoholism, menopausal symptoms, diabetes, fever and the the common cold!
My grandma used to make gooseberry jam. She had a couple bushes in her front yard. I tried growing them but it takes a male & female bush and they're full of thorns.
I have to drive further up the mountain in July because there is an area where some vines have grown all over the pines and I should check the flowers to see if it is Kudzu and I will make some jelly. I did buy some Honeysuckle jelly and now my honeysuckle is starting to bloom. Hopefully from all the rain, I will have an abundance of blossoms. That jelly was very expensive but it was a splurge and it is good. I think I like my blackberry and blueberry jam better though.
Washington planted Scotch Broom for roadside erosion. Huge mistake…bad invasive.. an early Oregon settler brought Gorse from his home country. Bandon, Oregon is overrun with them. In fact since they are volatile, Bandon, the town burned.
I, like most of your followers, just love and look forward to all your videos and lives. You two are so fun to hang with!💕💕
Brooke, I have 3 adult daughters, and all 3 went through the “whatever mom says, I’ll do the opposite!” Be patient, they all grew out of it! 😅
My first production to see was The Music Man. I was 8 years old. Front row with my best friend and her sister. I'm 72 and I still smile thinking about how amazing it was for us. We're 1300 miles apart and still best friends.

I'm glad you had fun on Mother's day. Your babies are so precious. I love ya'll 😊😊
I enjoyed the Replay live. And no one is Brenda Gandt except her lol.
We have tons of Honeysuckkes. If I had a dehydrator, I would do them and send to you some. You all are so funny. Love you guys. 😊

I think I can picture Richard Thomas/John Boy as Atticus Finch, I'm glad you enjoyed it, sounds great.
@@poorthing He is a great actor.
That is my favorite movie of all time!
@@osmadchloever read the book?
Hard to imagine it's on book ban lists
@@poorthing Yes, I have the book too, but it's hard to beat Gregory Peck as Atticus.
Peach salsa is good and jalapeño peach jelly is awesome.

My husband and friends get Arnold Palmer sweet every time that we go out to eat. They get theirs unsweetened; but he gets his sweet.
Correct on the Arnold Palmer….1/2 unsweetened tea and 1/2 lemonade which will have a sweetener.
Jason, your Sherlock Holmes
story gave me such a smile, I bet you were a sweet kid
Hi Brooke and Jason. It's raining here in Elverson,Pennsylvania. I hope we don't get that rain. Have a nice day. I MISS MY MOM. Lv and Prayers all.

Wild Emus live five to 10 years, while domesticated Emus live 12 to 20 years! 😊❤❤🙏
Same with peacocks, 2 to 3 years before eggs hatch and live.
My feed store taught me and my son about plumbing and gardening when we lived in Missouri.

If you can't find Honeysuckles, just make the next best thing, Dandelion jelly or jam.. It tastes like a mild honey flavor.
How to catch you on the replay, so glad I came up in my feed. Love you guys videos❤. Enjoy your blessed day XXXO 💕😁
Kudzu is also made as a supplement and used for alcoholism cravings.
We love elderberry jelly! Use a fork to rake them off of the stems

Jason, with all the roses you are growing you need to try making rose petal jelly. It's really good!
Brooke sounds yumm 😋 . Great video. Blessings 🙏🫶🙏🫶
When I lived in western North Carolina it would take over whole hillsides. Almost looked like sculpture!
Yep, I used to always look for a "Roadside Jesus", where the kudzu grows up a telephone pole and looks like Jesus with his arms outstretched.
I live in Oklahoma panhandle, been watching since Lester & Jamie introduced ya'll to us.

Kudzu is wonderful fodder for chickens! Kudzu was introduced to help with the erosion after the dust bowl days.

I love to go thrifting! My weakness is the pretty cut glass, I've even found some lead-glass crystal pieces!
Saw your yogurt video Jason reaction was very amusing especially his suggestion to bury the rejects.
You should make tomato jelly, it's great.
