I used to start to cry as soon as the water hit my head cause I knew everything that was coming after would be torture. I would find some justice cause my hair needed serious heat to break down my kinky thick curls and then my hair was so hot the hairdresser would burn her fingers.
Now I keep it natural and haven't let heat anywhere near it for the last 4 years. Unfortunately I now have scarring alopecia in front so my hair is very thin there. But the back of my head still holds those rebellious kinky curls in defiance of their previous abuse. (Lol)

Sometimes people deal with chronic pain. Hairdressers should try to understand doing hair for people who have chronic pain such as fibromyalgia may take longer. A touch to the head sends riveting pain. Just a thought to keep in mind. Nevertheless we appreciate your skill and taking us as clients

I'm going to show my daughter this video. Last week I was stretching her hair to cornrow it, and she kept flinching just like this young lady here. I guess I didn't feel this way cuz my Nana did my pressing and Nana didn't play. She never burned my mom burnt me. LOL I know I was out of love.
