Time soon for an update on this with Modern Scoring Strings, the new OPUS violins, LASS 3, Pacific Strings, Tokyo Scoring Strings, and Adachi.

I don't know the library - why did you say RIP Adachi? Is it no longer for sale, or is it vastle inferior to the others?@@ThePickledOnions

@@ChristianSandviknes you need (to fully use it anyway) adagio 1.6 afaik and 8dio are no longer hosting that version.
Also it's never getting updated as it was a private project from a developer who's not working for them.
I think it sounds excellent but it's got a bug or two.

Very nice piece and well arranged. I thought several of the libraries performed well and all were at least decent. My favorite was Berlin Strings, which has a certain realism to my ear that I like. Of course, evaluating things like this is highly subjective.

@@BulaevV I think it really lies in the ears of the beholder a lot. I personally favor Berlin too, maybe with Con Moto second. But Berlin are the only ones for me that still have definition in the low strings and don't sound like an old analog synth. It also depends very much on which legato patch one uses, whether it's the one from the multi-articulation patch or the exclusive one. Finally, Berlin are for me the only ones here that more or less manage the note transitions in the 16th runs at the end without sounding completely like individually triggered samples. I'll admit I'm somewhat biased because Berlin is my go-to library, but one of the reasons for that is the amazing legato transitions. Aside from that, great comparision, really appreciate the effort.

SCS seems to have a nice sense of dynamics.

Don't think the sound of Nashville is really very similar to Vista?

always loved spitfire but I have to admit: vista and Nashville are the only ones properly dealing with that fast legato at the end of the piece. thanks for this!

Wow!! I really like the sound quality of Performance sample vista! I became so calm that i like automatically rested my head, when it was playing with the Performance sample libray. It's really good! And as well i like Cinematic studio strings, and of course Spitfire symphonic strings.

Berlin Strings has more depth and realism, followed by Hollywood Strings.

LASS didn't make the list? Possibly the best of the bunch. Especially with the 3 chair divisi that gives ultimate control. Great video!

@@BulaevV I can't say i liked the SSS too much either but it sounds okay(after listening the whole, i agree with you it sounds so unrealistic and bad). But the Berlin Strings is so pleasant in the low end. It is a little muddy but if you make some processing it would be great.
