When I was an assistant I witnessed a color bowl full of color smoke and bubble like a cauldron! We found out she had used Feria box 6 mo earlier. Be honest with your stylist!!

I just stick with what my stylist does and gives me for color refresher. He's a childhood friend and I'd be *so* embarassed if I ruined his work with products that don't work with what he uses.

I lost my healthy 60 yr old father really unexpectedly in November to covid and I really struggle to sleep without flashbacks of covid wards etc, I basically watch your video’s till I pass out from tiredness and it is the best medicine! I love the combo of fun, shock and useful advice. Hair isn’t life or death and it’s nice to switch off from reality.

@@terriandlola I totally agree with your “therapy”..I’ve now lost both of my parents & when the loss becomes unbearable I too turn to these type of fun but educational videos. Hair Buddha is one of my favourites to lift my spirits & take me away from all my cares for a while. I too watch till I drop, I can’t sleep any other way. It’s stress & grief that prevents us sleeping & it’s sucks & it’s never ending..take good care, there’s plenty of us suffering in this way, you are not alone although it may feel as if you are..I’m so sorry for the loss of your lovely dad x

I can't stand getting my hair coloured at a salon. I can't explain why. It's not the cost. Thanks to you hair budda, you have saved my hair. I use sections, sections, sections when I home colour.

3:22 what part of yellow dye and pink hair makes you think it’ll come out green????
most likely is confused by additive color theory where mixing red light with green light turns into yellow light. expecting red dye and yellow dye turning green is not far off but our hair pigments aren't light either.

I went to a salon once and while the lady is bleaching my hair she and another stylist were laughing about a women's hair that had started smoking a week before. I wish I would've heard that story before I let this awful stylist touch my hair because I came out with white, yellow, and spotty hair that was truly horrifying!
ALWAYS do research before going to a new salon, always always, otherwise, it can go drastically wrong

I stopped colouring my hair and just very minimal maintence trims as it grows out. Last time I added colours to it, parts of it was crunchy no matter how many times I washed it. Took it as a sign. Can say my hair is all natural and healthy. Not as shiny as it used to be, but health.

I don't go back because I'm afraid they will make it worse. I have never gone back. My stylist makes a mistake = new stylist.

@Hair Buddha Question: How would you treat hair that has tight curls to have them grow out and not break off? My husband has tight curls when his hair is short, it straightens out to softer curls as it gets longer, but it breaks a lot. I haven't been able to find a good conditioner to keep the curls from breaking.
You might try making him sleep on a satin pillowcase (if he's not already). That'll reduce breakage at night. Good luck 🤞🏻

I doubt u have time or the inclination to do this but if I were trying to go from a very... not quite orange, orange tones but the color is more of a golden yellow and I want it actually the color of the inside of a banana peel blonde... what volume would u recommend? Happy to send pics if that would help or if you're willing to advise... I'm BROKE and have a wedding to go to in a few days and I'd like to fix it up before then. It's been about 2 weeks since last i bleached it, took two rounds to get it to this level, there are just streaks of this darjer gold color in it that are driving me CrAzYYYYY My hair is in pretty good condition, just the very ends have some breakage.

Bleached my front parts at home a week ago (virgin hair), box bleach but it sayd on the developer that it was 35%. Took only 15-20min to get to blonde/yellow i guess i’m lucky. 😍😌

I don’t understand why people don’t go back to salons? If they were disappointed with any other service industry they wouldn’t hesitate yet somehow hairdressers get a pass.
Our clients have no trouble to come to us and complain and we fix. That girl from the front looked cute. They must have shown her the back before she left.. She could have asked then. May have been lost in translation...it happens

It might be bad genetic undereye pigmentation. My grandma and great grandma both looked like that all the time starting late middle age, and I'm showing signs of it beginning too!
