THIS!!! Was EXACTLY how I had was brought up. I could cry listening to this, oh how I love him and how I'm desperate to know his love like this. I too recieved the Lord at 8 years old but have spent my life in fear and condemnation and unbelief, which has followed me into adulthood. So focused on not going to hell that I've missed the beauty and innocence of being his child. My heart is broken as I now struggle to get through panic attacks, anxiety and fear, depending on Him to renew my mind on his love and my identity in him. Please keep me in prayer as I not only seek his face for deliverance but for a new mind concerning his love for me. God bless

Dwelling in God's Presence is one of my favorite teachings! I have listened to it several times. It has helped me draw closer to God and better experience intimacy with him. Awesome!

"Love others the way I have loved you". To love others you need to be loved by god first. Which we are and a lot of us know that as intellectual knowledge. In search for answers to "HOW TO BE LOVED BY GOD" we get answers like- spend time with God, have a relationship with God, Let him love you and so on.
How do you do this (BE LOVED BY GOD) practically? Everyone gives broad answers which do not really help.

Why do you make it sound easy to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit? It’s not easy!! I’ve tried. I’ve even called AW prayer line and they’ve prayed it over me. It didn’t happen. :/ not EVERYONE speaks in tongues. I’m a new Christian and this is discouraging me.

    • @AndrewWommackMin
      @AndrewWommackMin  Před 5 lety +6

Hi, Fay! We want to encourage you if you prayed to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, you have received this gift, even if you are experiencing a challenge with praying in tongues.
There have been Christians who have struggled to release their heavenly prayer language after receiving the Holy Spirit. We don't always know why this is the case, but we do know that it is God's will for every born-again believer to speak receive this gift and speak in tongues. Some Christians find it difficult because of teaching they've been exposed to that was against speaking in tongues, while others are challenged because of fear of the unknown. Whatever the reason is, we believe the Holy Spirit will help you!
Below is some insight into how we cooperate with the Holy Spirit to pray in tongues.
When we ask to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, believing that we received when we ask (because God cannot lie), then we know we have it. The sensations can be different for every person. But we don't walk according to our feelings or lack of feelings. We walk by faith.
      Luke 11:13 (KJV)
If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
      Mark 11:24 (KJV)
Therefore I say unto you, What things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
When we believe that the anointing and power of the Spirit have been poured out upon us we can begin to release the gifts of the Spirit in our lives.
The heavenly prayer language exists in every believer who has asked to be filled with the Holy Spirit. It’s just a matter of releasing it. As we praise God in English, we can simply switch over to a heavenly language that our mind won't comprehend. God does not take over our jaw, lips, tongue and vocal chords. We activate the sounds. The Spirit gives the inspiration.
It is similar to receiving the inspiration for a song. We hear it on the inside, but it is up to us to take paper and pen and write down the impressions that we have had. God doesn't force us to write, nor is it 'automatic handwriting.'
So it is with speaking in tongues. The inspiration of the Spirit is within, and we provide the vocal chords, the tongue, the lips and the will. We can start and stop and speak as loudly or softly as we wish. The Spirit gives the inspiration but we control how much we want to release.
So it is with the other gifts as well. We have inspirations, 'ideas,' 'burdens,' etc., and we begin to step out in faith with words or actions to bless others. We know that the ability of God is within us and that He wants to flow through us. But we must get out of the boat. God does not force these things, nor take over our bodies and make us do things without our cooperation.

Hey - I was like you and struggled for years and THEN I fell into faith and didn’t know it. Ha! I got in many lines to receive the baptism and nothing happened. One day my eyes fell on Luke 11:13 where it says God will give the Holy Spirit to any that ask. So I said to the Lord: I’m not getting in any more lines. You promised right here if I asked, you would give it to me, so I’m asking and I believe you’re going to do it. I had no idea that was faith. So every night when I laid down, I would smile and say: I know you’re going to do it. A few days later, I woke up and I could speak in tongues. Praise the Lord. I met a lady at a healing conference who told me that she struggled to receive the holy spirit. I told her my story, and she called me back a few days later saying the same thing happened to her. Praise God.
