Cadillacs would be great, AVP as well but it might be difficult to get the license back especially for AVP. My personal choice is Shadow Over Mystara. Played there for four years in the arcades and I have the Steam version but having the Swtich version would be just as awesome.

I've just bought this on switch and I'm loving it, absolutely amazing. Admittedly I've had to buy it digitally because Amazon and eBay prices are crazy and GAME have never heard of it because it's no "of duty "in the title. What an extraordinary good review again from undoing the best switch reviewer's there is.if any anybody else is struggling for online battles please comment as I can't find one
Yeah, I’ve been looking for a physical copy for a while and the best I’ve found is about £32 on eBay. I don’t think it will drop much past that because it’s the Japanese release. It’s annoying. Glen
Man, this bundle looks so good. It was a nice surprise seeing it in the direct. The addition of the artwork makes it an instant buy for me. Especially since Capcom acknowledged Captain Commando!! Awesome review as always Glen!
Great selection of games, including some I'm not sure I'd ever get to play again without it being a rom with questionable functionality. I played the SNES version of Captain Commando which was a very INCOMPLETE version. I also got to play a rom of armored troopers on an xbox once that was hacked to play roms and it was a fun romp. I'm looking forward to completing it now with a batch of friends.
Great review Glen! What an awesome surprise this was in the Direct too! Capcom is the king of beat 'em ups and Final Fight is up there with my favorites of all time in the genre. I think I'm going to have to pick this up ASAP.
Capcom was pretty awesome at Beat 'Em Ups. Konami was the only one that could rival them back in the day with greats like TMNT, Simpsons, Turtles in Time, X-Men, Batman Returns, and Crime Fighters.
I'd love to see a Konami Arcade collection someday with all their big licensed Beat 'Em Ups in one package like this. Not likely to happen, but one can dream.
Got this last night and am enjoying it. I like putting the scanline filters on as I am used to these games on my CRT. Great to be able to play these classics on the go! (even though I had these already on MAME on my GPDxd, I just love having them on the switch)

at 4:32 you mention it is possible to choose how many continues you can give yourself. I can't find any option for adjusting continues. The game is always set on free play.

fantastic review Glen, was waiting for this. deffo getting this. im sure capcom heard streets of rage 4 was being built and have got this ready for the console release before that came along. wise move and we all benefit. will shout you for some online play once they sorted it out. i bought the megadrive collection on ps4, (mainly for kid chameleon) , but the online multiplayer is broken on that too. im wondering if there is real lag issues with 2d games from yesteryear that prevents the from working properly in emulation. thats the problem with emulation..you need powerhouse specs to run them... food for thought. deffo up for online beat em up action tho.

this interested me as i never really played many of these games on this, but I will wait for the Sega Classics and play Streets of Rage 2 on that, I'll keep it on my wish list thought
Unfortunately, this is also emulated stuff through co-op net games and the lag issues are just the same in any version (Xbox One in my case). It is also an old net system that doesn't have "intelligent" matchmaking so, the best way to enjoy co-op is local or with friends from same region where the lag isn't a huge gap.

Seems to me you can only change the number of lives, not the number of continues. Unless I'm wrong? I don't see the point of adjusting the number of lives and points req to get more lives if you just have unlimited continues anyway.
I just jumped on and tried it for you. There is still some lag but it’s a thousand times better than it was at the time of my review. Certainly not perfect still, but playable now at least. Hope this helps. Glen

To bad you need Konami for some of those. Maybe they'll be the next company that saves themselves from burning down financially by realizing they need to turn shit around. So far Konami hasn't done that. Bloody Roar is something we should be seeing out of them if they plan on keeping their company from going bankrupt in the next five years.

It doesn't earn the 20 bucks they're asking for currently. 20 bucks and get 20 nintendo games that go away as soon as it all runs out, If it was SNES and maybe Game Cube, or some 64 games like one of hte best F Zero games I can remember, maybe. But it just does NOT earn it right now. Nintendo has turned into villains and our online multi player is now stuck in another castle behind a paywall that has solved NOTHING.
Bought this on day one and in fact I had to wait until mid-day to be authorized to play it (strange). Way worth the money and just ordered the physical version from Japan!! I hope Capcom continues this trend as well as releases physical versions in the US!!
Online sucks for SF Collection as well. Not sure why Capcom's games are so chunky when online, I've had nothing but great experiences with Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Mario Kart.

The online service is now a hostage situation that doesn't earn it's worth. If they had either the entire NES library, or others like SNES and others, maybe. But seriously. They should've just left the online function free by this point. THERE ARE NO FUCKING DEDICATED SERVERS! What the FUCK are we paying for?! This shit?! For many, Nintendo Switch is now a dead console for online gaming, because they just refuse to pay for this hostage situation that tries to justify it's self with giving you some dirt old games people have been re sold over the past decade time and time again. It's only 20 dollars is not an excuse. Not when it's done anything new to earn it. It's a CASH GRAB that does less than what every system has done since the Wii. I should've gotten the Capcom Brawler game on my Playstation instead. It's also just murdered the sales and use of other games like Sky Gamblers and Battle Supremacy. I should've just bought those for cheaper on google store.
To be fair, most of beat em up are borring once you cleared 2 or 3 stages....except for Battle circuit which is unique and ...FINALLY has been released officialy! This game is by far my favorite!! (I like king of dragon too but only for the awesome soundtrack and...HOOOOOOO!!!! 😆)
I'm bound to think capcom will patch the collection to add these features just like when they patched up the street fighter 30th anniversary collection

Welcome to Switch Online. It fails in a nut shell. But yeah the netcode on this one sure didn't help. Still a great buy though, but if you had any thoughts of playing online. Might as well get it on playsation.
Yes, but at least if you don't get it on Switch you still have no reason to give Nintendo 20 dollars. But then again with it's current net code issues... Yeah even if you buy it for Switch you have no reason to pay Nintendo 20 dollars.
When it comes to the online issues, with this game and Switch Online, I agree. However the emulation for these with the online issues aside, I feel have been done pretty good so far. Right now a hack that should be more closely considered, especially since the Switch's root has been hacked long ago, is to keep an eye out for those who set up an ALT SWITCH ONLINE service that can essentially run as an alternative online network. We could see the birth of alternate online services that might finally push companies to be more honest with their pricing and works. It was hackers that once already forced Sony to be more honest with the worth of their service. Nintendo could very well expect the same within two years time. Sure other software companies could choose to update to block em, but they'd ONE be fought back and be counter updated, and TWO, why would they want to fight such alt services? Nintendo is about to be in no position to make demands of third party publishers to try and combat it. The idea of Switch is cool, but Nintendo has now just knee capped themselves until either this alternate service becomes available, or, Nintendo wises up about making the price tag worth it, or dropping said price tag all together. Lets be honest here. Their service does not earn half of that 20 dollar price tag. Some of the cell phone games they're porting I can get to work for cheaper on my PC for lower prices per game, AND, free online service. Nintendo is still a little on the slow side when figuring out how the online world works, and this time it may cost them a huge chunk of the success they recently had. Watch what the stock points are about to do. :3

You should plan a meet and greet live with your friends for a get together. It could be a real experience.

It doesn't earn the 20 bucks they're asking for currently. 20 bucks and get 20 nintendo games that go away as soon as it all runs out, If it was SNES and maybe Game Cube, or some 64 games like one of hte best F Zero games I can remember, maybe. But it just does NOT earn it right now.
Nintendo has turned into villains and our online multi player is now stuck in another castle behind a paywall that has solved NOTHING.

Dungeons and dragon capcom games whould be awesome in a bundle.
And they’d go great with the other D&D games on the Switch, like Baldur’s Gate, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights.
Bought this on day one and in fact I had to wait until mid-day to be authorized to play it (strange). Way worth the money and just ordered the physical version from Japan!! I hope Capcom continues this trend as well as releases physical versions in the US!!

Online sucks for SF Collection as well. Not sure why Capcom's games are so chunky when online, I've had nothing but great experiences with Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Mario Kart.

Yeah, this is a great release. Between this and the upcoming mega drive/genesis collection there is so much retro goodness on the horizon. I can’t wait for my Neo geo mini, oh and the SNK collection coming too, I forgot about that one. Who needs new games! Glen
The online service is now a hostage situation that doesn't earn it's worth. If they had either the entire NES library, or others like SNES and others, maybe. But seriously. They should've just left the online function free by this point.

For many, Nintendo Switch is now a dead console for online gaming, because they just refuse to pay for this hostage situation that tries to justify it's self with giving you some dirt old games people have been re sold over the past decade time and time again. It's only 20 dollars is not an excuse. Not when it's done anything new to earn it. It's a CASH GRAB that does less than what every system has done since the Wii.
I should've gotten the Capcom Brawler game on my Playstation instead. It's also just murdered the sales and use of other games like Sky Gamblers and Battle Supremacy. I should've just bought those for cheaper on google store.

To be fair, most of beat em up are borring once you cleared 2 or 3 stages....except for Battle circuit which is unique and ...FINALLY has been released officialy! This game is by far my favorite!! (I like king of dragon too but only for the awesome soundtrack and...HOOOOOOO!!!! 😆)
Plus with the save states you can return to them later to help stop repetition setting in. Glen

Welcome to Switch Online. It fails in a nut shell. But yeah the netcode on this one sure didn't help. Still a great buy though, but if you had any thoughts of playing online. Might as well get it on playsation.

When it comes to the online issues, with this game and Switch Online, I agree. However the emulation for these with the online issues aside, I feel have been done pretty good so far.
Right now a hack that should be more closely considered, especially since the Switch's root has been hacked long ago, is to keep an eye out for those who set up an ALT SWITCH ONLINE service that can essentially run as an alternative online network. We could see the birth of alternate online services that might finally push companies to be more honest with their pricing and works.
It was hackers that once already forced Sony to be more honest with the worth of their service. Nintendo could very well expect the same within two years time. Sure other software companies could choose to update to block em, but they'd ONE be fought back and be counter updated, and TWO, why would they want to fight such alt services? Nintendo is about to be in no position to make demands of third party publishers to try and combat it.
The idea of Switch is cool, but Nintendo has now just knee capped themselves until either this alternate service becomes available, or, Nintendo wises up about making the price tag worth it, or dropping said price tag all together.
Lets be honest here. Their service does not earn half of that 20 dollar price tag. Some of the cell phone games they're porting I can get to work for cheaper on my PC for lower prices per game, AND, free online service.
Nintendo is still a little on the slow side when figuring out how the online world works, and this time it may cost them a huge chunk of the success they recently had. Watch what the stock points are about to do. :3
