Great decision by Bob Paisley to make Souness the new captain it was an inspired move that went on to turn the season along with the younger players finding their feet to put the club back on course for another three seasons
Don't forget Ray Kennedy already moved to Swansea at this time but was not in the Swans first XI.

And on the side board a league cup and a 13th League Championship
Before the second half of the 1981/82 Liverpool was just a mid-table club.
