- In this episode Mike (XDS Mav), Rick (XRS Mav) and Nick (Wildcat 1000) ride the St. Helen ORV Routes in St. Helen Michigan.
We do a little drag racing against a 900S and a Maverick XDS Turbo, then do some icy water bashing, and then round off the day with blowing a ball joint in the middle of nowhere.
We learn a lesson to always carry small ratchet straps, and never ride alone!
Watching this in 2019 you guys have come a very long way!
Just what I was thinking. Damn, a really long way!!!
Indeed!
I believe this was the first sighting of the elusive young Mathew.
Reminiscing in 2024. Currently laughing my ass off in my seat. Break downs are the worst but can hold some of the best memories!
Rick back in these videos cracks me up. Sarcasm at 100% lmao
I didn't know Doug had kids never noticed the kids toys before. Heck yeah dude
That was cool watching the mike mavs suspension do work!!👍👍
Sry think I messed up the name.
Great clip of the whoop trail next to the tracks, you can really see the suspension work. Awesome you caught your buddy going thru the big puddle on it. I have used that whoop section next to the tracks in a few of my videos, very recognizable. Nice work.
Hey thank you sir! We got another video coming of me in my Wildcat getting beaten to death on those exact whoops!
very nice work getting the cat back to the trailer!!!
I Love how far you all have come since the start.. If any of you find your way in Gillette wy, Bighorn Mount- area or Killpecker Dunes... Let me Know.. got about 5 arches to house every one ...Cant wait to meet you all...Keep on sending it...
Nice good soakin there. You must have been drenched! Your laughter was great.
watching in 2022 for some throw back content
You was hk with that wildcat truly impressed with this one
I carry tools and extra balljoints for the Wildcat Trail……All Balls spares….LOL. Cool video, looks more fun than the silver lake dunes.
+David c Oh no! Not All Balls! hahahahaaha. And yeah St. Helen is pretty fun! The dunes are probably less fun to ride, but there is so many crazy people there it's hard to beat.
Cool vid guys. rock on. just got a wildcat 1000. love it
Watching in July 31 2022. What huge changes
Nice video! I go to St helen every holiday weekend. great place to ride. next u come there i can show way more trails to explore. That scramble area get ass packed with people at night. they drag race there too.
And the difference in machines and power holy moly mane
really cool video. Love the exhaust on the cat and the mav.
+HammerdownProductions Thanks!!
Jesus you guys are young
hey guys, I'm from Muskegon. have a rzr 1000. Ride mostly at Silver lake but next time you guys head to St Helen's I wouldn't mind tagging along of that is cool!
Hey Steve! Hit us up on Facebook! Just search "SXSBlog.com"
Awsome seems like you guys have lots of fun often.
Absolutely do Jose!
Dam Arctic crap their snowmobiles are the same way !
I don't know how you can stand that exhaust on the wildcat. Both of mine had an exhaust and I couldn't go riding without getting a headache.
Enjoying these riding vids!
+dr187mx Gotta say this ride I did actually get annoyed by it. Thanks for the feedback and comments! Much appreciated.
it's tp bad you guys don't have a channel on cable on once or twice a week i really enjoy your videos keep it up
Where are you guys at? Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
Rock chalk, Rick!
Casey's has better pizza. LOL
should come back
St. He!en AKA Whoopdeville.
is this before or after the STM clutch kit was instead on the mav?
What is the name of the road you're filming on at 5:57? looks like a great area (whooped out) to shoot suspension tuning videos on UTVs and prerunner trucks.
Nick Vasquez I think it's called airport road in St Helen michigan. We're planning some additional footage in that area this summer.
Your humour, sarcasm and all around happy go lucky attitudes suggest that you are from Canada eh?
Close, Michigan!
Where is this riding area in st helens? Im from ann arbor area?
Do u guys live in Michigan?
why didnt you just tow it with other sxs just pick the front end up and back other sxs under it. and strap it down
Easier said than done! Plus the rear subframe section on the Maverick isn't made to hold more than 200lbs.
ah,

My honda pioneer could do it
This a common problem or a fluke? did it have a lot of play before it failed?
+Eric B Total fluke I believe. The joint broke in half whereas they normally pull apart if they're badly worn. These had about 500 miles on them.
Where are the Kawi Teryx at????
+Ern Mac No one in the group has one! Do you? Wanna come ride?
+SXSBlog.com If your ever in Nova Scotia. Let me know. I'll bring my 2015 Teryx out lol
How's the riding out there? Will the mounties come get us?
+SXSBlog.com No man. The Mounties won't come get you. LOL. Riding is good. Beer is good lol
You're talkin our language!
My pioneer with a v4 would smoke u guys bad
bring it
fender mount is deffinately better
+mark walker Thanks for the comment! I'll probably run both head and fender mounts in the future.
that's why never to buy used
Or, why you never buy "All Balls" brand stuff.
The one liners just keep coming. Yuk
