I was born in the 80's and grew up in the 90's. I remember when a Tombstone pizza was only $1 in the plastic and cardboard bottom only. My mom would buy those because a whole pizza could feed everyone. I'm interested in trying this but it seems like corporate greed disguised as inflation has given these companies the ability make these new products and overcharge consumers. Before this,Tombstone had the same pizzas for over 20 years. Interesting times.

Tombstone Pizzas up to these new ones, are still wrapped in plastic. Don't you see them when you're in the pizza aisle? I still buy the Tombstone Deluxe and Supreme every couple months. I like my cheese white and stretchy, so the crust on mine is always more hand-tossed than crispy. I think the box is just to set it apart from their regular pizzas, and to charge more because of it. Screamin Sicilian is just the opposite. Its regular pizzas are in a box, but their Tavern-Style is wrapped in plastic.

If I'm not mistaken the pizza company that you and Kevin fell in love with, pepz Pizza is also the company that founded tombstone. Sounds like they are both quality pizzas! Peps is a little more expensive but it's quality worth paying for!

Tombstone used to have a brick oven style pizza and it was very good, but it was discontinued. I hope this is similar. Regular Tombstones are still wrapped in plastic and no box.

I believe this is tombstones “upscale” pizza… lol their others are wrapped in plastic wrap… and I think they come on a cardboard? Been a while since I had one… tombstone only makes one meatless pizza… I’d rather other pizzas … a few of our locals shops sell by the slice… I live by myself… I don’t need a whole pizza…

You’re right, they are wrapped in plastic. I’ve never seen one in a box. I’ve never been overly impressed with Tombstone pizza, but this one sounds really good. I will have to look for this and give it a try! Great review.

I've only had these maybe a handful of times as a kid, but I remember the crust being crunchy too... And they had the plastic wrap.
This crust was much different from the late 80’s.

I'm kinda a frozen pizza snob but I do like tombstone for being a decent cheap pizza. It's not the greatest frozen pizza by any means and I do prefer home run inn but for the price it's not bad especially if you can throw on a handful of extra shredded cheese on top

I like pepporoni pizza but the pepperoni is sometimes a bit spicy but it’s bearable for me. Not to spicy
