I was really hoping that depending on which chip you use, that the charging sound would go deeper or lighter in tone instead of the weird oscilating thing
@@PlasticGeek I took my other disc back. The speaker did have a buzz compared to the new one I got. Also the Sam Flynn identity chip voice files are very gruff and poor quality and make it sound bad. I switched it out to the Rinzler chip. It sounds much cleaner.
As an identity disk that thing is mediocre at best. Now as a plastic case for the electronics I’m putting in it, it’s majestic. Does anyone want the guts from mine? I don’t need the doodoo electronics it comes with.
...and there we have it. 15 USD before-market price for quite literally less than 100kb of compressed, shitty audio data. And for the price, you also get the cheapest looking sd card casing I've ever seen. Oh, and you "get" to unlock the red LEDs already on your device that you supposedly own. Disney really just doing whatever they want just cause they've got an infinite supply of current and future audiences to prey on 🤷 Again, thanks for the review as I was still really curious just how bad it could get. I'm glad you liked this product, but the guy that said he would sell his 3 spinmaster discs for this abomination is definitely insane. cheers m8~
The SD card slot means we'll be able to hack the shit outta this disc. I for one am excited for that potential and the fact that people won't need to chase down increasingly more expensive spinmaster discs
@@frigginresulrum is that for sure a standard sd card connection? It can’t be too complicated, they put sound clips and a chosen color data on it in the park for people
It looks much better than the spin master toy. It has finer details and more internal real estate. To the normal person this would be irrelevant, but to me who is going to put lightsaber parts in it, it’s perfect. It would cost me more than $100 just to get a 3D printed prototype, and I’d still have to revise that. Or I could just pick one of these up. Modders are making a mockery of the electronics in Disney products and I intend to join them with full smooth swing, neopixel, and a 28mm bass speaker… in an identity disk…
@Technicallyaddicted awesome! If you have a CZcams video of the process definitely link it. I would like to add Clu/Flynn voice clips for example and definitely need more bass.

Can you open the chip case and can go in figurine
Have you tried it as a bluetooth speaker? The music sounds terrible as far as a quality of speaker goes.,
Sounded fine to me, but I guess I’m not too picky with portable speakers

@@DadGotParks good to hear. Yeah it’s a shame they didn’t have clean original audio, seems they just had to rip it from the final film.
The main thing i want to know it with the chip certain lines turn it blue. I wonder if there is a way to kepe it bule
The Sam Flynn chip keeps it blue, Quorra a lighter blue
Cómo puedo comprar solo el chip estuve en Disney y solo compré la moto por qué no sabía que aparte vendían el chip y mi hijo está muy triste.

I think you need to go outside for a walk. Get some air.
