How do u dunk I been trying but just keep hitting the tip of the rim

this is perfectly timed. I recently set a goal to dunk by freshman year. I am 12 and a few inches from the rim.
im in my freshman year and im quite close to dunking .. but being close to rim at 12 is very good
I’m twelve but I can only touch the net like halfway up the net to the rim.
How’s the progress going
Hopefully I can jump higher after this cause I'm 6'3 at 14 and people expect me to dunk already but I can only dunk a volleyball

How do I know if I am a one foot jumper or two foot jumper?
Try going for a natural dunk attempt and whichever is your preferred jump type then that's your jump type (one foot or two)
