This hits much harder after BAtDR. Knowing what the ink world was ACTUALLY intended for... it makes sense that this song exists. Spoilers for it below if you haven't watched or played it yet!
This in a way is the real Joey singing to the ink version of Henry, when Joey was still spiteful and angry at Henry for leaving. The lyrics are what brought me to this conclusion.

The original had a lot more "oomph" to it with the more angrier singing, but the new version of some of the lyrics here is an awesome upgrade, and the little preview of the next song to come?! Oh! So cool! I'm happy to see people still care about this fandom, can't wait for more!

Honestly there are some great improvements, but I feel like the oomph to the original really made is stand out compared to so many other songs.
This could NOT have come out at a better time. We've just received news of a trailer for BATDR and this incredible nostalgic song gets remastered too? Welcome home indeed.

I listened to the two back to back, the older version had more energy and emotion to it. The newer versions instrumentals sounded cleaner and the vocals sounded more experienced. Both are a joy and I don’t believe one is better than the other, just a preference toward the experience your looking for

I ended up watching the original and this one to compare. I’m surprised no one mentioned this, but I love how much more the singing voice matches bendy’s speaking voice this time around (especially with pronunciation of certain words and whatnot). Those vocal skills have definitely grown since then, Hailey! Bravo!

same I prefer the old one because it sounded like Bendy was going all in with his singing which is fitting due to his overactive cartoon brain this one while good, sounds more likely bendy talking in tune with the music.

I don't know which version I like more, the more relaxed voice or the more raspy voice. They both fit this song quite well.

I don't know if it's delirium from staying up to this demonic hour of the night or genuine emotions, but seeing this animation that played a huge part in my introduction to the Bendy franchise brought a tear to my eye. Oh my god, this remaster was phenomenal. The blast of trumpets every now and again, the violin with the tap dancing, everything was TOP NOTCH!! This has raised my spirits to an all new high today. Thank you Squiggly!

Been away for far too long indeed. This reminds me so well of why I fell in love with Bendy and the Ink Machine. The spirit of the characters, the love poured into the creations by the fans like true artists. I cannot thank you enough for this, it feels like...A Revival.

I love how the violin went EVEN HARDER than it did in the original, still a bop as always and im excited for part 2!!!
There's an added layer of deranged mania to the performance in this remaster, which really helps to sell the madness that's overrun the old studio -- and I _absolutely LOVE IT._

Agreed with the comments section, this is a lot cleaner than the first version, but it also lacks the first version's bite because even if the lyrics are the same, this remaster doesn't have as much fire, as much barely contained anger behind it.

After watching Behind the Curtain and the behind the scenes videos, I feel that Bendy’s tone of voice in this version and the visuals makes more sense now in describing the type of character he’s written to have here.
I also recall being somewhat confused with what exactly Bendy was feeling when he repeated “Welcome home, you’ve been away for far too long” three times at the end. Now, I think it can be interpreted as him having mixed feelings of Henry’s return, which gets followed up on with his actions in Behind the Curtain.
Also my favorite part of this version were the use of string instruments when Bendy tap danced 😆 (2:00)
I love how with the new one Hailey made the last line a little longer, that just added the little extra perfection!

The original Welcome Home was my gateway into the Bendy franchise 4 whole years ago now. I would listen to it on repeat and sing it in school. The Bendy community welcomed me to a lot of my best friends that I still hold near to me to this day. This song means a lot to me and to see it remastered was a treat. Thank you and well done, cannot wait for Part 2.

The violin! The organ! The chorus! Ugh! It's perfect! I thought I liked the original because the lyrics were more front center and it started off with a stronger instrumental but this one looking back is by far superior!
The part at 2:36 ish really takes on new meaning with the new game, not mentioning anything specific because spoilers but it's still very neat!

The Henry we played as in Ink Machine was actually a fake Henry created by Joey to torture, out of sheer anger that Henry left, Henry really never came back to the Studio.
So this amazing song's lyrics is Outdated now, well, not entirely, because it could apply to US, the Fans, almost forgetting about Bendy from how Dark Revival took so long, until we could've left the Fandom, and after all these years of forgetting about Bendy, he's finally returned through Dark Revival, and he's not happy with a single one of us for almost forgetting about his Legacy.

This game is partially responsible for unlocking my artistic spirit and the original version of this song is forever linked with the height of it's popularity in my head. I just had such a beautiful emotional response to this, it's amazing. It's a wonderful remaster but throughout the whole 5 minutes, I just caught myself reminiscing again and again... seeing something so familiar made me happy of course, but the whole black and white style and the mostly empty hallways just put the whole abandoned mood of chapter 1 back in my head and i dont know... just feels like the franchise has always been a prophecy of itself...
Something that used to beautiful and full of ambitious creativity now lays desolate, with only the fond memories remaining. Just got me right in the feels. The power of nostalgia i guess. I dont even know how long it's been since I heard something new out of BATIM. Truely, it's been away for far too long...
Which is why your closing announcement filled me with such ecstasy! It's just so nice to see that even though there has been nothing official out of this franchise for a while, it's spirit still lives on. It hasn't been forgotten completely yet. There are still people who adore this game as much as I do (or probably even more, judging by this love letter of a video). I'm so filled with joy that you're doing this new part of WELCOME HOME.

If you listen closely near the end (particularly when Bendy is evil cackling), you can hear "No longer fading away, now" or "You've been away for far too long" repeating which is so cool
