The best orbital interview and trip down memory lane. Chime is still one of the best dance tracks ever.....timeless
Saw these at Glastonbury 2010 when I was 16. Completely changed my taste in music in just 2 hours
Re-education.
Remember when it first came out, loved it then and love it now. Classic.
I remember seeing them in Boston in the mid 90's and talking to this excellent guy at the mixer board during the first band. Then he stands up and says nice meeting you but I am needed now. Turns out it was Phil.
Lol that's awesome
I was lucky enough to chat to Phil last week via messenger. Diamond chap!
One of those records that instantly takes me back to my childhood and helps to easily recall memories i didn't even realise i'd retained. Whenever i think of "Chime", i'll always picture it in that lovely black FFRR sleeve with the white upper title strip. Been offered upwards of £250 for my original 12'' copy, never giving it up, not for any amount of money.
Danced next to em at Coventry Eclipse 1990, just as they were setting up! Also saw them at Hammersmith last Saturday!
The last time i saw them was Dec 2018 Hammersmith Apollo. First time was 1990 at the Eclipse in Coventry. They were dancing next to us in ‘90! Great guys and band. Innovators.
Excellent interview! Thanks! x
Thanks for a great interview!
Great Interview and loved the song when it came out
Its funny, they remind me of the pet shop boys where one mainly does all talking,,lol
Chime-это музыка из самого далекого будущего,у вас двоих,может быть через 1000 лет не будет второй такой идеи🇦🇺
Two blokes twiddling knobs on a stage brilliant top blokes
Poor Phil never seems to get a word in!
Yeah it always seems like that. Weird.
Frank Skinner and Simon Pegg.
I so hope the new album is great.
Shame it was awful.
@@kristianTV1974 Nah, it's great.
For favorite gear, he said "time travelers". I cant find that, any help?
Is that Frank Skinner lol
Yes.
I actually did think there was a Frank Skinner resemblance as I was watching and your comment cracked me up.
The MacBeth mmm. Think Jody Wisternoff has one.
Presets can be a great starting point!
Try and make your own sounds....accept for "solid bass" dont f**k with solid bass.
... my brain is an ST, computing musically, like a fluter fluting mello, is how it goes, the wind blows, and the O-zone hole grows, but we continue, to move you ...
Orbital. Satan. Rhyme and Reason remix
lol except
ironic innit
