✨ The easiest way you can lucid dream TONIGHT. This is a very simple and effective method for having lucid dreams tonight, even if you're new to this and you’re not sure about how it works.
Simply spend the rest of the day thinking about and reading about lucid dreaming. Then, set your alarm for 5 hours from now and when it goes off, lay there and relax.
You're going to get a strong urge to roll over or turn over. Ignore it, and let yourself drift into fast sleep paralysis. Then, let yourself drift into the lucid dream.
There are of course many lucid dreaming techniques that you could use to do this, but it comes down to these things.
You should perform reality checks about 10 times a day, but if you’re trying to do this tonight, perform at least 25 of these reality checks today before going to bed. The most effective reality test is this one:
Hold out your hand and with your other finger, try to push a finger through your palm
REALLY expect it to go through, and ONLY when it doesn’t go through, say to yourself ‘Oh, I must be awake’
As you’re expecting it to go through, ask yourself ‘Am I dreaming?’
In a dream, the finger/s will ALWAYS go through your hand, but in real life, they NEVER will
Do this test lots of times throughout the day, and eventually it will happen in your dream

What is Lucid Dreaming? Lucid dreaming (sometimes called astral projection although they're not quite the same) is the ability to become SELF AWARE in your dreams, meaning you can control them and experience whatever you want. You can live out your fantasies and be, do, see or feel ANYTHING.
There are also many benefits to lucid dreaming, such as improved sleep, more energy, more confidence, and more restorative sleep. Not to mention the fact you can become more CONSCIOUS, and experience the impossible!
I'm Stef, the guy behind HowToLucid, and I'm dedicated to helping you learn how to lucid dream. I've been lucid dreaming for over 8 years now and I have a passion for dreams, personal development and travel. I tried this technique last night (Monday to Tuesday). I slept from 3 am to 8 am, then followed the steps. I did feel sleep paralysis, however I was not quite able to lucid dream. I was on the verge of lucid dreaming, I was falling asleep as well as waking up, everytime I was falling asleep I would wake up to the idea of being paralyzed which did not help. But I did dream, but I don't think it was a complete lucid dream because I was not in total control, but it was somehow influenced by my thoughts on that night.

i personally think you had a level 2 lucid dream. which means that you know you'r in a lucid dream but you cant control it. If you keep practising i.e doing reallity cheks and keeping a dream journal it should improve. P.S im no expert and am infact still wating for a level 3 or 4 lucid dream. If you want more realable info just look it up or watch Giz Edward he really helped me understand the whole concept of lucid dreams. P.P.S sorry for any spellyng mistakes, i have dyslexia

I had sleep paralysis one night before I knew about lucid dreaming and other things.
I'm thinking to myself, "why are my lights off?" I always sleep with some kind of light on, without it my room is pitch black, you can't see your hand in front of your face. I have a digital alarm clock and that was the only source of light in the room. Just enough so your night vision works. My mom had come in to turn the lights off a bit before this happened.
I think I remember it being around 4 in the morning, the "sweet spot" for all this. I had slept for about 5 hours already, then I came to. I saw my lights were off but my mind didn't really process it.
I had the urge to roll over- I ignored it because I wanted to see if it would help me sleep better. I know now to *not* do this if I don't want to have sleep paralysis.
Keep in mind, prior to this I was only aware of lucid dreaming, but hadn't thought about it in a long time. Sleep paralysis was the same case, I didn't know much.
Anyways, have you ever seen that one episode of Star Trek TNG where Geordi gets like blue glowy lines on his face, it's kind of creepy, but that's not what still haunts me to this day. There's this one part where they go to the Holodeck, and they summon a vaguely humanoid figure. It has no face, but its body is just the wrong amount of "off." That thing still scares me to this day, apparently.
I had the feeling of another presence in the room, I had closed my eyes to try to get to sleep. I had become aware of this pressing weight on my chest, a symbol of sleep paralysis. I tried to reach for my phone, for its flsshlight, but I was kind of in a dream state. I had this sense of wrongness about me, I was seeing myself move to get the phone but at the same time I was feeling myself lying in bed. I was panicking at this point. I saw a vaguely human outline moving towards the foot of my bed, outlined against my white walls.
In my vision I had raised my arm to try to navigate to the screen on my phone with the flashlight, but my arm was shaking very badly, I was fumbling the device. I think my subconscious was representing the helplessness of my sleep paralysis with not being able to get to the flashlight.
This is all I remember, but it's like there's a gap in my memory from the figure approaching me to me lying in bed still freaking out but now my phone has been replaced and I can move again, I presume this was the dream ending. I sat up in bed and turned on the lights, sure that at the foot of my bed would be that strange figure. There was only my Eevee penny bank regarding me lifelessly. I'm not sure how long I stayed awake, but I remember the clock in the dream saying something around 415, but when I woke up it was 5. This is probably not my first experience like this but it's my most recent that I can remember. It really freaked me out so now here I am, a week later, looking to have the same thing happen again. I really hope being aware of these things and recounting my tale will help with it, but I'll keep my eyes closed this time. Even now as I remember this it makes me breathe faster and my heart pump quicker...
I have a good sense of being aware of people. If there are one or more other people on a room I can tell if they're there. Unfortunately this also means my mind is paranoid and thinks there are presences in my room when there are none, (hopefully). Occasionally I hear something falling over in my room, like a book being knocked off a shelf or something, but when I open my eyes and check around the room, even getting up and checking, everything is where it's supposed to be. Nothing has fallen or been knocked off. It's happened a few nights in a row and I have to investigate it or my mind will be paranoid. Some nights I just can't sleep because I'm afraid of what might be in my room. It sounds childish and it is, but I just can't shake this damn feeling.

      @pmaguire13 Před 7 lety +9

It is if you don't understand what is happening. It can actually be quite fun if you really know what is happening. I had sleep paralysis once but I already read about it so I knew what to expect and most of what was expected to happen didn't because most of the bad stuff that happens is what happens when you panic. For me I just waited it out while trying to move but not to escape but rather play a game. I tried to move my arms and then guess where they would be if I could move them.
The thing is I am a naturally paranoid person so If I didn't freak out during sleep paralysis than it can't be that bad. I just recommend reading about it to see what to expect.
The scariest thing I read about it is that people saw shadow like deformed people and even hallucinated feeling them. The thing is though, if that happened in my situation I would have turned the scary moment into them just being lonely ghosts that just want a hug or something (real or not ghosts are still fun to imagine)
Really the trick is to realize that you can't move your body, once you do you instantly understand it and know that you are powerless to it other than what you imagine.

I got back to my room around midnight and went straight to bed listening to some calming music at a low level. I never sleep on my back but that night i did, i was lying on my back with my hands by my sides. After a short while I wasn't fully asleep nor awake, but i had the feeling of sleep paralysis. I felt as if my body was locked to the bed and pressure on my chest. At the same time my mind was spinning to the music i was playing and saw many different shapes and colors. I knew i was beginning to lucid dream. After realizing that I wanted to verify i was lucid dreaming, but no thoughts came to my mind. But the music i was playing sort of influenced what i was dreaming about. After that night i began to read more into lucid dreaming but haven't attempted it yet. Hopefully tonight i can make it happen.

I had to move from a dream house a few years back, and even though I always had trouble lucid dreaming, I told myself if I ever was lucid dreaming I would go there. This was almost a reality check because one night I was in a nonlucid dream and eventually ended up in my old room at that house. That's when it clicked. I thought "I always said I'd come back here in a lucid dream, so this must be a dream!". That's how I became lucid for the first(and currently only) time. Unfortunately it was really close to the end of the dream so I didn't get to experience much.

    1. Is it possible to do this without waking up to an alarm because I share a room with someone?
    2. Is it possible to become paralyzed when beginning this process?
    3. Am I correct and assuming that you have to lay on your back the entire time?
    4. There where sometimes that I went into sleep paralysis but did not know how to start the lucid dream. How do I start the lucid dream when I am in that state while fighting the urge to move and not just closing my eyes and nothing happens?

I had a life changing lucid dream once just this past year. I had gotten good at lucid dreaming and had created a certain 'base' or 'home' for myself that I would recreate every night. I would return to the same dream people (many of which were people I knew in waking life) and continue where I left off the night before. I began to develop feelings for the people in there, the more I interacted with them the more they seemed like they had their own consciousnesses and feelings. One night when I was really depressed, a girl I liked in the dream asked me what was wrong. I told her that she was just in my dream, and that all of this didn't actually mean much and really existed for my personal satisfaction. She kind of frowned and smiled a bit and replied
"This is as much my dream as it is yours." I honestly became sort of terrified. I couldn't tell if I was talking to a dream character that had become sentient or if I was speaking to another real person that was somehow
sharing a dream with me. Nevertheless the experience made me see things completely differently dreams are fucking fascinating

    • @mikasheart
      @mikasheart Před 2 lety

Perhaps it was just a dream or it could be reality shifting (sounds a bit far fetched) but you achieve it pretty much the same method as lucid dreaming except the theory is that the people in those dreams are real, and that every time you make a decision in this reality it creates another reality where you did/didn’t make that decision. So this creates infinite reality’s and in one of them is your exact life you’ve created for yourself if that makes sense. Or at the end of the day it could just be a weird dream but interesting lmao

The reason to why I searched up how to lucid dream is because I had my first ever lucid dream a couple of days back. It didn't last long as I noticed there was something wrong; I thought I was awake and got scared by what happened.
It's funny because I accidentaly achieved a lucid dream by doing it kinda the way you're explaining it.
Okay, here goes: I was at my friends place and I had work the day after at 10 am. He also had work, but he had to be there alot earlier than I. He was to leave 06:30 am, and told me he could drive me home on his way to work, which I said yes to.
So I fell asleep around 01 am and woke up 06 am. He had prepared a big cup of coffee for me since it was quite early for me.
We then drove and he dropped me off at my place 10mins after.
I then decided to return to sleep when I was home to fill a couple of hours before work.
I laid down on my back and tried to fall asleep for maybe 30mins and then I suddenly hear my friend(who drove me home) burst in my front door downstairs yelling like he's super stressed out. He's looking for his carkeys, and cant find them anywhere. I go downstairs to see him tumbling around, pulling out everything from my closets and freaking out.
I who just saw him driving off after he dropped me off, becomes confused and scared as to whats going on in his head atm as to this making no sense to me what so ever.. "it's like i'm dreaming or something", I remember thinking.
And that's when I woke up in my bed again.
This whole experience was so lucid it was almost too scary try and sleep again. It was like I was awake and had no idea I was dreaming at all.
I have been thinking it may have been the coffee that kicked in while I was trying to sleep, inducing the woke mind while being ready to sleep, but now I'm not so sure.
Anyways, thanks for the tutorial. I'll try this out tonight. Have a nice one!

As I understand it, these things require time and patience. We are talking about training the mind. There are those that spend years practicing and training such things. Even meditation as an art is something that takes time, persistence, and daily practice. Don't be discouraged, but you have to be honest with yourself about whether you really and seriously are willing to dedicate the time and effort into it. Otherwise it is all just play acting. I don't believe this is something one can just approach blithly and hope to accomplish in one go. Do you or don't you really want to commit to the art. I will tell you, that during a three year period of meditating and working up to one or more hours a day that some of those sensations that sound unreal actually do begin to occur. That feeling of vibration in your limbs and body is real. And it isn't just while your in meditation either, it can be felt on and off throughout the day. With me it all stopped a few years back when a major life change caused me to stop meditating regularly. I've not been able to get back into that grove, but I hope to soon.
Believe it or not, the one thing that has interferred and stopped my progress is being able to use a computer again (after a long recovery from brain surgery) as well as discovering CZcams, etc. I really do believe that much of the distractions of the contemporary world keep up from progressing not only with things along this line, but also with our own personal growth as well. But, it's as addictive as television, and video games. And so far I am not having any luck from breaking free from it as you can tell. :)

I told him to appreciate life and what's really in front of him, he told me I don't think outside the box or abstractly enough and we shouldn't be friends no more, I told him cool. That's real life.

Hi! I got a question about this.
So, usually in life, when you take shortcuts there are negative consequences. What are we missing by doing a WBTB? There must be some cons about this technique, because if there weren't any, why would people be doing any other inducing technique?
Thanks for the vid and for your time :)

    • @clintwind5716
      @clintwind5716 Před 7 lety +43

      Andreas Lenac
the negative side would be that there is a possibility that you don't fall back asleep and you'll be tired the next day, so usually people who have to wake up early won't do it. for me my mind starts racing as soon as I wake up so i don't like this technique much, but it is definitely the best way to get a lucid dream quick. also another con could be that alot of people get really scared in sleep paralysis

yea, what usually works for me is try to imagine a random scene, dont make it too fancy or anything, maybe like a street, a blue sky or whatever, and before you know it you're suddenly standing there haha make sure to do a reality check when you find yourself standing somewhere

Andreas Lenac also pretty important, since you will go through the sleep paralysis, and u might havent experienced such a thing, keep in mind its natural and stay calm about it, dont start trying to move when your body falls asleep, cuz that is exactly what makes you nervous and scared, bringing you those consequences youd prefer not to have :)

The closest I've had to a lucid dream was the ability to walk, speak, and think at will (normally in dreams I'm more of a spectator of whats happening). I couldn't manipulate the environment, but I could interact with it.
I was also aware that I was dreaming, and out of concern that I was moving or talking in my sleep I tried to wake myself but it didn't work lmao.

Luckily my dog was in my bed because when I touched her I came back and woke up. I was kinda scared but it was fun in a way because yesterday I watched a video about what not to do when you’re lucid dreaming. Haha,, I’m okay though. I only vaguely remember it

I kinda hate all of those wake up at night techniques. One simple reason. I don't want to wake up the entire house. Even with relaxing tone it *will* wake everyone

I remember when i was in my early teens i would have feelings of fast motion right before i fell asleep. when i would move in my bed if felt like i was moving at light speed. So i would get up and turn on the light and things in my room like the dresser was shaking back and forth very fast .. I thought i was loosing my mind. Has anybody ever felt that before?

Hiếu Vương Ngọc Weirdest thing ever! When I was sleepy and sick I would imagine a hair that's getting thinner and thinner and it would freak me out. Also with shapes and voids getting bigger inside my room to the point of it being so squeezed in my room that I would freak out and wake up sweating.

Am I the only one who really can't use the diary thing? Over 99% of the time when I wake up, I can't write anything there because I just can't remember what I saw if I even did see anything. It's just blank for me right after waking up. Those rare times I remember it in the morning is when I remember it for atleast a whole day. I am a very deep sleeper though. I've slept through thunderstorm and my cat meowing next to me while it's horney

I tried this trick and it WORKED! For 3 seconds i believe....
So i did exactly what he said and then i was in a lucid dream. So i asked myself if im in a lucid dream and touched myself, and then- *windows 95 startup sound* and then i woke up. Pretty sure you cant say in a random dream am i in a lucid dream.
BUT i practiced trick for 3 days this is only the beginning!
