    Looks like you've made a great job of it mate 👍, me and the wife did ours about 4 years ago in one continuous piece, front to back using the spoon method :), was well chuffed with the result. To be honest now you've done your own, taking your time and making sure its right, you will notice a lot of the professional converter carpeting jobs are not has good has you first thought they were,

    Another great vid Jay.
    I fitted my own windows from Camper Glass to my 5.1 a week or so back. I'm very OCD with stuff and went to great lengths to ensure all the cut metal edges were properly filed and painted.
    At the moment I'm half the way through fitting my sound deadening and insulation....just removed the crappy old ply floor today.
    I will probably be doing my carpeting in about a week....strangely I'm looking forward to it. In reference to your carpeting vid I was interested to see how you carpeted up to and around the windows. I also have knock on edge trim, I thought you might have carpeted up over the rubber trim. In other words up to the glass itself. I have thought about doing this but I'm honestly in two minds.
    I will also be fitting a pop top....I'm sure I heard you say in your windows vid that you found fitting this to be easier over glass?
    My thinking is that I will do this in a month after sheeting up inside and before I build any furniture.
    I've been getting more addicted to the build lately....much to the other half's delight! 🤔😐🙄🤣

    • @JaysFabShop
      @JaysFabShop  Před 4 lety +1

      Hey mate. Wow long message 😝. To be honest I think carpeting under the trim looks a lot better myself and I really don’t think the carpet would stick to the seal very good and I think it would be very very hard to make it look nice

All coming in the next couple of weeks though hopefully

    Looks really good Jay! I'm going to be doing mine soon, just need to remove the rear heater first. One question, on some of the metal parts of the bus, the pillars etc around the windows (where there isn't wood) there are some holes. They are largish square holes. Did you just carpet over the holes or did you cover them in some way first?
