The book blood and fire is out and their story is already finished they did not have to make anything up like with game of thrones which book series a song of ice and fire isn´t even finished until now
Daenarys did not deserve to rule.. The entire Targaryen reign is based on conquer.. Just because they had dragons they conquered.. And there is a difference between ruling and conquering.

Also it's told from the perspective of other people who were witness to the dance of dragons. Some accounts also conflict with each other for example a Maester and a court Jester named Mushroom had different versions of the same event regarding Daemon and young Rhaenyra. We don't get any POV from these characters ( like Daemon or Rhaenyra) or direct quotes.
I love how they are throwing innuendos with them so that latter they can tell “it was always there” They are soft and can missed but most specially because they are trying to build interest. I have watched many reviews of the first 2 episodes and most are saying “oh he wants her crown and he will be a big problem for her. Because when they do eventually come together is going to be a shock. However, it is not. First Daemon sitting in the iron throne while Rhaenrya makes light of the situation. That is because it is because one day his blood will sit the iron throne and in that scene alone we get the power dynamic they will have once they get together. Rhaenrya will allow daemon to have much say in her affairs. She will value his counsel above most. Also the necklace they picked. It looks like a chain and camera making that close up on him wrapping the necklace is a way of saying he is binding her to him. Also he says “ that way we can both carry a piece of our ancestry” daemon had Visenya Targaryen’s sword “dark sister” Visenya was the first Targaryen Queen consort to the first Targaryen king. Daemon will become the first prince consort to the first Targaryen Queen. Also they will be the direct bloodline ancestor of Danaerys and Jon. Then we see Rhaenrya wearing the necklace to the tourney in which she seem pouting as Daemon asked Alicent for her favor. She also wore that necklace throughout the second episode representing 6 months. Which means she wore it to keep him close to her for the time he was exile. Then choosing to make him stand behind Rhaenrya at the funeral. Which is symbolic as Daemon will be Rhaenrya’s most “loyal” war partner and he will fight for her worth and birthright until his dying breath. Then he also confort her by assuring her importance not only to her father but to reign. This shows us that Daemon for one is very different with Rhaenrya than he is with other and also that he has a tender side which he shows exclusively to his love ladies (Mysaria, Laena, and Rhaenrya) The bridge scene also was symbolic. Carexes (daemon’s dragon) sense and heard Syrax (Rhaenrya’s dragon) coming and remain passive as she landed in the bridge and Rhaenrya made an advance on Daemon. Also the look. Daemon was so angry and ready to feed Otto and his party to Carexes when Rhaenrya showed up. Once his niece was in eye view just like that Daemon lower his temper again choosing to always give Rhaenrya his most passive and calm side. Also he told Rhaenrya that one day he will have children while looking at her and Rhaenrya looking breathless and awe. Daemon returning the egg to her and the way Rhaenrya held it while looking as he goes back to castle which will be their home one day. They are building it without making. It obvious as there is a view people before they pair for real. Also Mysaria in the books is pregnant and daemon gives her the dragon egg because at the moment he was enamoured with Mysaria. And that is what Targaryen do when a baby Targaryen is about to be born. So that latter the dragon and the targyen can bond. So we do have a big change from the novels to show. However, I loved them and based on what the novel gives us Daemon is a very indulging lover. Taking his ladies on trips, sails, shower them with jewelry and fine silks. Poems and stories of adventures. His story with Laena Is very beautiful . He took her to many beautiful places. Then with Rhaenrya he has always been like that. So I’m totally here for them. However, I do see we are going to have to wait f or a bit until we get to see them doing something obvious ❤️🥰🐉

Remember that the book is written by an baised narrator ( Maester from Old Town who probably views Otto very favorably) who uses unreliable sources that tell an exaggerated and salacious version of the story. The book is more of a tale/ legend than just facts of a important past event. Even in the show only Rhaenyra knows that Mysaria is not pregnant because the whole conversation happens in Valyerian away from Otto's group. So Otto might still believe that Mysaria is pregnant even after the egg was returned.
Do you have to make me cry with that "he will fight for her worth and birth right until his dying breath", 😭 Fckn Daemon man, so iconic, knowing the Battle Above The God's Eye, it's gonna be one of the most iconic TV battles on screen!
I am Reading the book and i can Say It' s quite different from the serie because if in the book i can see a special bond also with Laena , in the serie seems his relationship with Rhaenyra Is more important. I know we don't see Laena yet but we saw the Building of Demon and Rhaenyra very well written. It' s clear there Is a strong feeling here between these two. I don' t believe he can erase his niece from his Memories during his second marriage. It's impossible...they are written too well for this and they are the Heart of the story. My personal opinion🙏
