bro why tf would you resume the simulation after the mistake of not making it cpu v cpu, Mike Tyson wouldn't have stood there and not moved forward as the bell rung. if anything this changes the dynamics and established pressure coming from Roy Jones Jr which totally voids this whole simulation without me even having to watch til the end.

Mile Tyson was a horrible boxer moving backwards . He never did it and he hopped into position and stayed low. Roy Jones was never flat foot walking he feinted ad hopped into his hooks this is a joke. This might be how they look now that they 50 yrs old
A 20yo heavyweight Mike would of literally killed a 28yo Jones. Back then Mike would get in your face and come up on you with a uppercut or a right hand well inside someone's guard.
@Scott Ogle exactly, he demonstrated he had a chin and if he had to he'd go all 12 rounds of needed. Difference between him and other power punchers is that he trained just like he fought which is why he could still maintain that punching power in the later rounds. He was also very technical and one of the best defensive boxers, he rarely took damage for a knockout artist because he had such great head movement and awesome ability to counter so fast and so hard right after a bob and weave...he is on my opinion the better fundamental boxer ...roy had the quickness and excellent footwork...but tyson could do it all, had power, excellent footwork, great head movement, a surprisingly good jab and he could take a punch sadly I feel he did not fully live out his prime due to losing his original coach who was pretty much his only fatherly figure in his life, turned to drugs and really just lost his love for the sport st the time long before he got past his prime. Had he not gone through those ordeals and I think the worse of them which was losing his daughter, I think he would have destroyed, Holyfield, Lewis and most definitely annihilated Buster Douglas

EVERY time the fight went out of his hands, he NEVER could pull the momentum back. Mike just wanted to kill, not fight. He's like a wild animal. Roy is actually gamebred and wants a fight and has actually faced adversity and came out on top. Mike Tyson never once did this in his entire career.
@King Judah There was a reason Cus focused so much on Tyson's courage, he was mentally weak. He even cried before his first match at the Olympics and almost refused to fight out of fear. Teddy Atlas pep talked him into going in, and Tyson KO'd everyone in 1. This doesn't work mid fight though.
Great upload thanks. I'd like to see these types of FNC simulations with many HW legend match ups. This is the closest thing we'll ever get to answering the "who would have won?" scenarios.
We're still going at it on this game you people are missing out on the Blood Baths. They've been making updates on it since it came out and the latest one is the best yet. This game was before it's time and still is, you can customize all of your equipment the colors and everything ~This is one of the best games ever made come join the PARTY !! 😝
Fight Night Champion is the absolute pinnacle of sports-based fighting games, it has never been bettered and still looks and plays fantastic. That control system was just perfect.
Id love more fight night sims maybe play with the sliders to male the fights last longer and more entertaining. Maybe even make like your own version of a franchise type mode keeping track if eveyones records and stuff
They have Prime Mike but his AI makes him fight like his 90's headhunting counterpart. The AI in the game was always hit or miss, that why I would usually mess around with the slides.

Truly a masterpiece of a game. It never got the praise outside of it’s cult like following for how good it was as a boxing/sports game. Replayability is off the charts, so addicting, so satisfying to play it to this day.

I used to do this all the time, even drew down tournament brackets on paper to see who the best AI figher was. The results were so mixed, can't remember who was actually the most dominant fighter. But in UFC 3, Jacare Souza is the toughest AI fighter i found, from doing the exact same thing.
No way Jones takes all those shots from Tyson. Also, the real match is scheduled for 2 minute rounds, not 3.. which favors Tyson more than Roy. This is not an accurate simulation.
Roy doesn't have his speed anymore. You just have to be a fraction of a second late and its lights out. Roy should never have taken this fight. I hope I'm wrong though. I don't want to see either guy seriously hurt.

Roy is quick but really doesn't have the power to hurt tyson much. Leaves his chin wide open to a monstrous upper cut too. I think tyson will duck that overhead and about tear his head off pretty early on.

Something looks off with this game. I think it's that the punches just make a thud sound, but barely result in any motion on impact.

the ufc jab can knock you out cause the gloves are barely padded. It's exaactly like in real life
