I'm one of these kids that grew up playing Oblivion and was disapointed with Skyrim. While my friends that grew up with Morrowing were disapointed with Oblivion... I guess nostalgia makes every game special.
I had the same experience, though it didn't really stop me from putting my 100+ hours into Skyrim. I know for a fact that I still have some places I haven't been to yet in the base game.
Not a popular opinion but Morrowind > Skyrim > Oblivion

Same. My partner who grew up with Morrowind was slightly disappointed in Oblivion, but though it was way better than Skyrim. I find the actual world a bit less imaginative in every iteration as time goes on haha.
I enjoyed morrowind the most after getting the graphic mod overhaul to update it to somewhat a modern game and the reading and world just feels better in every way than oblivion and Skyrim
That guy in the cell, Valen Dreth, is related to one of the characters from Skyrim. Romlyn Dreth is the guy who tries to sell you stolen mead in Riften. If you catch him while he’s in the Bee and Barb, he will talk about Valen in his dialogue with Keerava.

Imagine being locked away in a dungeon and the only person nearby is another prisoner so you just start talking mad shit towards them then suddenly the cell is filled with people and they promptly all leave through a wall LOL
This Wood Elf is so innocent. Gets sent to jail and her first thought when another prisoner starts to haze her is "wow this guy is so negative. What a bad attitude". Bless her.

@@jibbymarkettbh it’s impossible to not have an unbiased opinion. Someone who may be arguing the same thing as you may have bias for Skyrim because it’s the first elder scrolls they’ve played, introducing them to the world.

OMG YES! FINALLY! Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls Game and for me personally it is my favourite one! The soundtrack, the story and dlc...uh just amazing! Skyrim is well known for having amazing epic music, but oblivion is known for having really relaxing music. So excited to watch you play it!! 😍🥰💙

1 you can hear birds and such wonderful graphics and the music
2 you can sleep, eat, buy a house and a horse
Everything is good with this game and when you play this game with Asmr video it,s Even more relaxing
You can go in OBLIVION for hours day, dawn, night and morning
I spent a lot of my childhood on this game, it’s awesome to see someone’s reaction to seeing it for the first time

The Character class creation was so much fun. Same with the Astrological sign, I loved it. Things change though. Good for that
Ahh Sean Bean’s voice was such an awesome surprise the first time I played this. The DLC for this one is uh-mayyyy-zing - highly suggest The Shivering Isles!

Such an awesome game. My brother and I use to play this all the time when I was young. The dark brotherhood is probably the coolest quest imo.

I loved the dlc in this game. I remember gathering all the legendary weapons. Same with morrowind. There's a book on a table next to the last living dwarf in morrowind that list all the legendary items in a lore book, it gives u hints so u know how to find em

Loving the throwback to some good old Elder Scrolls since Morrowind and Oblivion both hold special places to me. And who could ever forget Oblivion's Horse Armor!
ASMR + my favorite Elder Scrolls = a great time! I remember my first playthrough being very confused by the lock picking mechanic as well 😄

Skyrim is probably my favorite Elder Scrolls, but my god Oblivion comes so close to top spot. It was ahead of it's time when it came out.

Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game, played it on Xbox when I was a kid and mained a glass armor/bow elf. The atmosphere is so unique and colorful and the voice acting/music is so damn good. After playing Skyrim and trying Morrowind neither give me that same, pure joy of exploration and adventure. They're both great games sure but something about Oblivion holds a special place in my heart.

man.. I was expecting her reaction to be more scared of the zombie's appearance. The first time I played this I have not put much thought of looking at it much and started hacking and slashing and mainly got scared by the goblins by how dark my game was on the xbox one, but now that I got the game on my laptop and replayed the game, I got more afraid of the zombies as I experimented more on seeing how they looked, even with the creepy music it made me even more scared to get into dungeons so I get the best gear and torch to prepare for the morts. Speaking of morts, you ate flesh from a being that used to be human Jubilee :)

It was fun watching you play this game for the first time. Although Morrowind has fond memories for me as my first Elder Scrolls game, I still think Oblivion is the best of the series. Hope you enjoyed it too!

Ok I just completed the stone of barenziah thing in Skyrim for the first time and I was so underwhelmed 😂 I thought it was going to be more exciting. I can’t even wear the crown 😭
hahaha it is a LOT of work for not too much! But if need money, the increased gems you get from the Prowler's Profit is really useful!! You can also use it to smith jewelry and level up Smithing very quickly!
It really is a lovely, wonderful game.

Oblivion music is one of my two favourite soundtracks of all time. I think Jeremy Soule said Oblivion was his favourite work, though that was maybe a really old quote, I'm not sure
Ahhhh, my favorite game of alltime! For me, it's always going to be the perfect middleground between the depth of Morrowind and the immersion of Skyrim. Oblivion is the goldilockszone for an action RPG, in my view.

Can defiantly recommend the mods from nexus for oblivion, you can make it look beautiful and much improve the combat system making it like Skyrim’s
I played Skyrim first as a kid and then played oblivion, and I prefer oblivion. Idk what it was but I felt way more immersed in that game compared to Skyrim. I feel like it was because the guild quest lines were far superior than Skyrim’s, even as a kid I knew that💀
The guild quest lines are so much better than in Skyrim and I have always preferred oblivion and always felt Skyrim was missing the heart and soul that Oblivion had, I’d love to see more of this, some great quests in Oblivion I’d love to see…if I can stay awake

Oblivion is so good you’ll like it a lot, it’s much more colorful than skyrim imo and the setting is better in general, it looks “more fantasy” man i love both for different reasons

Since you’ve now played 3 and 4 you should try this really underrated game called Skyrim. It’s pretty under the radar but it’s pretty fun!
How did you not play Oblivion before Skyrim? It went Morrow Wind, Oblivion and then Skyrim. Well there are others but those 3 are the big ones lots of people played. I love the mission when you can get the Wabbajock weapon haha you'll see what I mean 😋 The mission alone is cool and the abilities the Wabbajock weapon has are really cool also

Coming from Skyrim to Oblivion, I first hated the machinics, but now, I absolutly love Oblivion's over Skyrim's. Especially lockpicking. You just got to get used to it all

I dropped probably just a few hundred less in Oblivion, that I did in Morrowind, which wasn't much considering the insane amount of time I was in Morrowind
I've put like 7000+ hours into Oblivion since I first played it all the way back in 2007.
