Actually, the steering does center fully but it takes a long time. If you drive slowly, the centering action will feel alright. But if you accelerate out of a turn, then the centering action won't be fast enough.
If you're used to the other Japanese cars like Maruti or Honda, they have a faster self centering action. Nissan is conservative with its castor angle and hence the centering force is lower which results in slower re-centering. I think Nissan engineered it for sedate driving.
I have a Nissan Magnite XV Premium Turbo CVT. I was coming from 2010 Alto K10. And I found the centering action very problematic in the beginning. But within a week, I got used to the centering action.
If you are above 3 or 4 kmph, your steering will center properly. But it will be slow.
In Marutis and Hondas, the steering centers very quickly.
This is something that people need to get used to.
For sedate, smooth driving Magnite is quite good.
I own magnite turbo cvt xv. Done 10k so far.
All the positives are correct but few more negatives are engine refinement, brake noise, cvt has lag over time, halogen lights have to be replaced if it is xv or below,mileage in city is 11.
But definitely a value for money car. It has power to cruise on highways around 120kmph easily. Space and practicality is good. Android auto wireless is good. Drive view is great. Road presence is good. Very easy to drive. Boot space is also good.

It's a great car and I am using it for last 1year in himachal. I took this to toughest terrains like sach pass and it performed wonderfully well. Only thing I noticed is brake noise and when I told service center they were not able to fix it. Thoughts and suggestions

2 years completed with Magnite XV Executive Turbo. It's really amazing and reliable. Managed 28.5 kmpl without AC and light foot driving on Meerut Expressway. meter showed 29.5 kmpl though.

I have magnite XL non turbo variant. Completed 10,000 KMs. It is really good value for money car. I like the most in magnite is the space.

In a long trip I somehow managed to pull out 18kmpl. And short I got 13-14 average and it's good to go in traffic.

Changed clutch assembly, O ring cost was 1140 rupees.
No wonder Nissan failed, parts are still sourced from Japan, even a frickin O ring. Parts take 1-2 months for arrival and only available on their outlets.😮
Mechanics don't even wanna work on it, outside ones.
@4:00 very less gap between break and accelator pedal.
@@Sajjad-Ali2411 if you are tall and have big feet, then it might cause peoblem. Otherwise it is fine
The problems I found in my Magnite CVT are
1. Dead pedal position is too close to the seat, If you're anything above 5'10, your leg will not be comfortable. (this is an easy fix for Nissan!)
2. ORVMs do not auto-close and auto-open on locking and unlocking the car. This could have been fixed easily by Nissan.
3. Power windows do not work unless Engine is running (This is just plain stupid decision by Nissan. If they are so worried about the battery life, they should have used a larger sized battery)
4. Doors do not unlock when ignition is turned off! (Again this is plain stupid. Easy to fix with ECU coding for Nissan)
5. Internal Rear View mirror should have been auto-dimming (Kiger 2024 comes with it, I'm going to check if it'll fit in my Magnite)
6. Steering should have been adjustable for reach also. (This could be a costly upgrade for Nissan because engineering the adjustable steering to fit in the existing shell might be problematic)
7. Quicker steering (by increasing the castor angle). This is also an expensive fix for Nissan, as it has to be tested thoroughly through multiple duty cycles.

It won't leave as 3 more cars from nissan about to launch soon and I own a Datsun GO which is actually part of nissan India. Although on paper Datsun left India but nissan is delivering after sales service superbly. Still getting calls from service center to get my car serviced. And parts are available easily and at same price as previous
