- The Celtics beat the Cavaliers 106-93 in Game 3 to take a 2-1 series lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston, responding to critics of his offensive output this postseason by finishing with 33 points and stepping up his leadership as well, ‘challenging’ his teammates at halftime to come out strong in the third quarter - leading to a 14-0 run to start the second half.

Jrues best game in a long time which was great to see after that stinker he had in game 2 where he was caught on camera running around looking lost on defense.
Now we need Jrue to replicate this while KP is out and d.white hasnt snapped out of his mini-slump.
JT is rightly getting his flowers this game but JB was the best player tonight. JT devolved into some slowdown, settle for iso jumpers, eat the clock play in the 4Q which killed his percentages. Need to clean that up.
Cs need to stop slowing down when they're up. They need to play with more pace and look to run up the score. Agreed with eddie. Its our defense that won us this game.
The “why don’t they win every game” thing is kind of dumb tbh. I get it, it sucks when they lose but when another team catches fire from 3 it’s going to happen.
And it’s disrespectful to the opponent. We are the best team in the NBA this year but there are other great teams left. They aren’t just going to lay down and let us walk to the finals. We have to fight our way there and if that means some tough times along the way then GOOD. We need those tough times to drive the Celtics be the best versions of themselves in the finals when it’s for the ring.

The issue is when the 3s are not dropping they have no plan B, it’s just endless 3s and slack defense. What is up with playing 500 ball at home? I have never seen a playoff team consistently play so poorly at home. You can’t always win by double digits, you need to be able to grind it out.
@@mtadams2009 they had the same number of 3s as Cleveland yesterday and still won by 15. I agree they shoot a lot of 3s but that’s mostly just the nba. How did they lose game 2 to Miami? They hit a bunch of 3s. How did they lose game 2 to Cleveland? They got hot in the 3rd quarter and hit like 10 3s
What people seem to ignore is even if you shoot well from 2 like 60% if the other team is shooting 53% from 3 you’re still going to lose.
It's not about the loss but more about the way you loose

This series is OVER. Cleveland just don't have the personnel to win another game. With Jarett Allen out they have one premium player in Donovan Mitchell and a bunch of third and fourth tier players against eight or more premium players with Celtics. Mitchell need to get the hell out of Cleveland as quickly as he can if he wants to salvage what's left of any chance of winning a championship.

Honestly, JT needs to stop consistently relying on ISO. He’s too good of a playmaker to do that. Also, he needs to stay locked in on defense. We need this type of offensive game from Jrue as well. If we have that, we win. JB and DW have been consistent with their effort and they’re contributing to offense or defense in one way or another.
Stop acting like you’re not wishy-washy with this team. It’s ridiculous.
