Probably a stupid question here but I'd figure this is a good place to ask. Is it alright to hit USSSA balls with a ASA/USA bat and vice versa? Or are you at risk of damaging/breaking your bat? (for batting practice purposes)
Don't swing asa/usa bats with usssa balls. You will damage it. It's okay to swing usssa bats with asa balls. Its a softer ball compared to the usssa balls.
No, ASA bats are more likely to crack if you hit USSSA balls with them. ASA balls are softer than the utrip ball so the bats are designed to hit a softer ball. The utrip bats are designed to hit the hard USSSA balls, therefore you can get away with hitting ASA balls with a USSSA bat but not other way around.

It's sad that marketing is what really makes a bat not performance. So many people are jumping on the Tantrum wagon when the Axe is by far the better performer.
They also hold compression longer which i believe makes the bat better.
I have both axe bats and 1 piece tantrums. I love both but my Connell tantrum lasted 600 ish swings while all 13 or 14 of my broken axe bats have lasted anywhere between 15 and 100 swings. The axe bats performance is great but they break too easy for me. Something to add is the tantrum barrel is much softer than the axe barrel.
@@hudsonbrown7689 that's the funny thing about bats. People's swings are going to be different for each bat out there. I've hit my short barrel balanced and long barrel with 525s and all I have is webbing. People who have power swings shouldn't use axe or Louisville.
