Question: What do you mean "ending the curse for good"? It'll just start up again next year, just like it did before. All killing Mrs. Mikami did was end the deaths early, but given the extremely high body count, 4 to 8 people surviving out of a class of 20, they either met the yearly death quota, or exceeded it by 3, which is a hollow victory if I've ever heard one.
@@duypham-xo8uv Mikami died before the school year started naturally like the first dead student. I'm pretty sure everyone's memory of her returns after the year is over but they start forgetting the details of her while she was in the class.
Well... protagonist didn't doom anyone, he was a red herring, not affecting the plot at all. Mei's eye also couldn't help much until the end part, since they didn't know that killing the dead person stops the curse. A lot of the suggested strategies were actually tried, but even if you remove the class 3, it'll just be a different class that's cursed. On the other hand, their case was easily solvable if they just looked at other classes. The fact that there's a second teacher, even though school staff is aware of the curse and wouldn't willingly add more people at risk. Well, the whole concept really falls apart if you think about it, considering school and even police knew about it. Keeping the class, but making it have only a single student each year would've solved it. The class still exists, but at worst there's a 1/2 chance to find the dead if it spawns, at best you can investigate both students in much more details than one out of 20 people. But I guess that was the point, there were some superiors in denial that never approved of any countermeasures.
The curse might have worked like The movie "It" where it distorts the memory every one around. Then again the solution is that they should hire a detective working far away to not be affected by the curse.
Well I guess that Mei new all along that the teacher was dead but since they all choose to Ignore her cause of the extra thing even if she said anything about it no one would listen to her
Well, I mean this curse will surely lead to some kind of mental instability, so others don't think it's weird for adding an assistant or second teacher in that class.
The curse isn't over for good. It's only over until the class gets all of it's student numbers back up and then it'll start over again. It's never-ending and will keep going forever, just like in the King Game.
They could hire a private investigator that lives far away and looks at footage of the class. The investigator could also take a picture or video tape the roster to look for any changes.
@@siddharth-cl6pg When the mc had the Convo with red hair girl a year ago, he mentioned that someone close to him also died, same as red haired. It wasn't his biological mom, who died after he was born. So, it was his aunt that died that time they first met and returned as the assistant homeroom teacher in his year at class 3. In my first viewing of the anime, I didn't pay attention to this. It was one of the last subtle hints that points to Reiko, being the extra person. I never found out until it was revealed 😅
@@rffm1879 not to brag but I already suspected her as the extra, but then again I voted Mei since Mikami couldnt be possibly be the extra since she is a teacher. Well to my suprise she is indeed the extra.
A lot of Japanese works, horror or otherwise, have a very consistent theme of what happens when trauma goes unaddressed, as well as common themes of parents/elders holding things back from their children/juniors to "protect them" and it coming back to bite them in the ass instead. It's always so interesting to look at where common themes are in media by culture or by nationality. It tells you a lot about where they are politically and sociologically. Just like the Internet Age has brought us more and more works addressing parasocial relationships, how online and offline behaviour translate back and forth, and of fears regarding privacy and security. I'd love to read a whole book on that. I have one about J-horror that talks about that, though!
Never really thought about this, but you're absolutely right. Could you maybe share the book that you're referring to? I'd also like to read some more on this. Thx in advance 🙂
It actually wasn’t the drowning that killed Junta, or “Black Haired Guy”, but rather the contusion in his head. It was an aneurysm that burst. It basically killed him instantly.
The guy who got chopped by the boat? Yeah, when I comes to his death, yeah he fell down the stairs, I think he had internal bleeding in his skull. Which it then reaches critical levels when he goes into sea to get the beach ball. Well either way if the boat didn’t chop him up, he would have died from his brain being pressured by the internal bleeding from falling down the stairs that same morning.
It was better explained in both novels, but actually the police and the news (upon Sakuragi’s death) were aware about the deaths of the students. One of the cops shows up several times in the book, asking Kouichi about accidents as he’s daughter is about to go to the same school. If I recall correctly, Kouichi might actually explained what is going on.
@@gamerbro8399Never thought about this as a reason why kouichi may have gotten put in the class. Such a sad and horrific thought that maybe they put the kids who were sick in the cursed class because they were seen as being worth less.
if the elevator scene freaks anyone out dont worry. most elevators nowadays are a) to short to do serious damage or b) useually have a shock absorber system at the bottom so the blow of falling is, yes terrifying but non-lethal.
More than that they have a failsafe break that will lock the elevator in place so it doesn't fall, you'll be trapped for a few hours at most but that's it.
yeah the only thing u need to worry abt is if its compromised (ie. someone just drove a crane into your building) and if so some elevators wont even open if the system is compromised. if you are trapped and in need of evacuation and cant use the stairs then call 911. they will tell the emergency response team where you are and they will prioritize getting you out.
another was mentioned on videos a little back too so it's possible but i think they try to schedule their research and editing etc for past just the current project. i am curious what they might do next. . i would like seeing higurashi even if it'd only be 1-2 arcs. . i'd guess probably going with the first couple of higurashi or starting with Kai for uhhh obvious reasons. lol
The class had the easiest and most obvious suspect of all the classes before them, but messed up simply because they were playing chess and the curse was playing checkers. spoilers the class thought they were safe at the start of school because their was no extra student in class, but they failed to realize that the curse never stated it had to be a student and could be a school employee or teacher that was standing in front of them all day with no desk for her
@@acapitala4936 yeah they exist. Think about it like how you have an assistant teacher with your main teacher. I think they are either there to learn or to help out (or birth)
Spoilers I like how the entire ending act was because they couldn’t put together that “Giving desperate children a chance to live if they murder someone and won’t remember they did it” and sitting there and thinking yea it’s a great idea to give them the tape or chance
I will say something about two of the deaths; The one who died by a heartattack. He isn't an example that the curse will just kill everyone who speaks about it with a heartattack. The kid got a heart attack and didn't die "flashy", but that is because the kid had a heart condition. I haven't seen the anime in years, but I remember it being mentioned early, that he had a weak heart or something, meaning he couldn't do PE. They legit from the start, set it up that he would die from a heartattack. So the whole japanese statistics for heart attacks didn't really matter in this death. The curse just did the death that made the most sense for that person. The one who died by speedboat. He was doomed before he went on the trip. As was mentioned, he fell down the stairs before the trip, fucking up his brain. He would have died if he went on the trip or not. The thing with the curse is, that it has to start in the town itself. If the guy hadn't hit his head before the trip, he wouldn't have died, because then the curse wouldn't have been able to do its thing. It is only because of the fall before the trip, that he could die outside of the town.
So.. since Mei can see the aura of the dead. Why didn’t remove the eye patch, determine the dead person and kill? Since she’s shunned nobody can stop her due to everyone thinking that she’s the dead person and by interacting her starts the curse. And when she does kill the imposter no one would remember. She knows that nobody will remember that moment and the imposter.
I don't think they thought she was the dead person entirely. They had to shun one person too keep the spirit at bay and she was the most likely to be it. But really they could have shunned anyone.
What bugs me is that the curse revives a dead person who can't remember that they died and are flesh and blood again and only by killing them and resending them to death will the curse end not to mention it wipes everyone's memory every year
@@iAstra that is true, but since the protagonist figured out that they needed to kill the person who is dead, I would’ve ran straight to Mei, tell her the information and immediately prepare ourselves with some weapon so we can kill the dead person before we run out of time.
Three misinformation in this video.... 1. Misaki that started the curse was a guy not a girl. 2. MC was not the reason a whole lots of other students died. The curse started even before he met Mei in the hall way of the hospital. 3. It was mentioned that they practically tried everything including shuffling, renaming etc the classes of the grade and nothing wotked.
Mei is a horrible person though, even more so than the other students who were trying to survive, she knew all along who the imposter was and waited till 95 percent of the class was dead before she decided she wanted to do something about it, kinda stupid
I was always so mad at her for that. She reasons it’s because she cares for the protagonist and don’t wanna hurt him, but like it’s inevitable if you don’t tell him?? You gonna wait until he dies or smth? It’s just so annoying. I understand where she’s coming from but at the same time I DONT
@@BeanSprouts02 she probably just couldn’t tell them because they all ignored her and she didn’t tell the mc because she didn’t want him to be depressed since yknow they would kinda be killing his aunt that he loves as much as his mom.
Realistically all of this could have been avoided if the student council dropped heavy hints that they were ignoring a particular student and to just roll with it. As long as japanese tradition of conformity would stand all would have been fine. Instead of making protag curious they would insist really hard to follow the rules and all will be explained in the end.
This isn’t realistic because in the beginning of the series, it was stated that there would be a 50% chance that the murders would happen even if they ignored a student. The murders were inevitable even before the guy talked to Misaki since her sister died in April- a month before he arrived to the class.
the curse had already began before kouichi even came to the school & even while mei was “nonexistent”. Also chibiki says that the plan to ignore a student only has a 50% chance of actually working. and Also since the dead one is a teacher, ignoring a student never wouldve worked in their case anyway
I think a novel was released by the name of Another 2001 internet says it was released 30. September 2020 but some say its gonna get released at sometime in March 2022 dont really know tho
I think it would be better to do a prequel of the girl who died or the first class to be cursed. Since everyone’s memory gets wiped I don’t think there would be much to draw from with using the same characters
When u compare the Ms. Mikami and Reiko, as well as the mc, u could see a resemblance but a bit too subtle since it was anime and the lipstick is throwing me off
So as long as Mei is alive, the dead person can be found while Koichi finished the job ending the curse as it continues to appear. Little communication will be optimal as to not be killed by the curse. Theoretically, if you had similar people like mei come to the town they wouldnt be affected and can help at the same time
Nope. Killing them would only ensure that the curse would target you simply by limiting the amount of people that the curse could kill. Also the curse was invited in... Yet they didn't even think of consulting an actual Monk to perform a ritual to lay the dead to rest.
The one issue I have with this anime is the fact that someone decided to allow the kid with a heart-condition into the class. The teachers all know if the curse, and someone along the way would've realized he was in the class before the school year began, so were they *wanting* this kid to die?
@@whatteamwildcats4033 They did explain it. They tried renaming the class (to class C) but everyone still died, so they worried if they moved the students around the curse would just follow them and kill them still.
When it was mentioned that there was an extra student that was dead but didn't they were dead i already assumed it was the assistant homeroom teacher. This is the first time i've ever heard of an assistant homeroom teacher so i initially thought her role didn't add up. And why is the assistant homeroom teacher getting mentioned a lot more often than the actual homeroom teacher? It didn't feel right to me. Haha
The middle school I went to tended to get people training to be teachers, so they'd attach themselves to the main teacher to get some experience. As a consequence, that didn't clue me in at all.
@@wind64a39 Yeah when I watched this show, even I didn’t get the clue that the Assistent teacher was the Dead Person. Because when I was in Grade 4, Canada primary school system, yeah my class had a assistant teacher, no one in class had learning disability. Which I thought it was possible maybe that this was also a thing that happens in Japanese schools. So I found out about the dead person being the Aunt near the end of the series.
If the curse got weaker the further away they were from the town they could've done two things. 1. Evacuate the town or 2. Close off the town so no visitors end up dying
The curse only effects the students, their relatives and the staff's, not really the whole town. But yeah, there is a rule that if you leave the town, you won't die from the curse
Wait a minute, if the school staff knows about the curse why haven't they sealed off class 3 or Demolish the building and make a new one? Is the curse making the staff forget to do something about Class 3?
Yes, the room where they found the tape was the original class 3 and is no longer in use. Not sure why they couldn't have just skipped the number 3 though
@@ameliasoon4944 The logic is that it's probably always the 3rd class that's cursed, so if they skipped it then Number 4 would be the class that's cursed, i think the only would would've been to only have 2 classes
I belive Izumi mentions that they tried to move to a new building, skipped class 3, and I believed even used like shapes but the class that was meant to be class 3 was always cursed
She had the ability to see the dead extra person and yet kept quiet. Granted that they learned the way to stop the curse was after they heard the tape, Mei should have told them who it was immediately. I hated this plot hole reveal in the end when I watched it.
I'm about 7 minutes in and commenting this but- I just wanna say I really appreciate how you guys seem to go out of your way go do unique anime that I've never been exposed to! I've heard theres a bunch of copyright stuff about the huge anime series' where there is substantial death, like AoT and the companies who make them, but I'm honestly glad you guys dont cover those. Thank you!!
They thought making one student nonexistant would work but no,the extra wasnt even a student and they made mei a nonexistant in may even though it all started at april 1st the first victim was misaki who would have believed her if she has said that mikami is the extra, you know people cant believe someone so easily, you cant blame mei for that.
I honestly love another. It's my favourite animal of all time. I have the manga and the blu Ray. It's so fun watching it and working out who the dead one was
that "impaled by an umbrella" scene traumatized me so much that i afraid to climb down stairs in my irl college 😖 on rainy days, while holding my umbrella.
I just got an insane idea! Have Light (pre notebook or post notebook) and L be in the class! It would be amazing to see if they could use their incredible deductive skills and IQ to find out who the dead person is and get rid of them for good, assuming ONLY they knew how the curse worked and how to stop it when they first joined the class
HOW TO SURVIVE CHIMERA ANT VS HUMAN WAR?! 2 Parts: How to survive as a Human; how to survive as an Ant. Maybe part 3 and 4 about how to survive the Ant King as both a human and an ant.
I understand that they couldn't just come out and tell Koichi everything - he wouldn't believe them anyway, plus talking too much about it/Mei could make the curse start sooner since they need to feign a level of ignorance of everything, but there should be some way to talk about this to any possible class 3 newcomers. Since it's been happening for 26 years, there would've been time to think of a way to make sure people understand the implicit rules, like a 'fictional' book, a lecture full of metaphors, extra-classes that present it as a puzzle, whatever.
Yeah around 8:30 minute mark when you started talking about how they should have let him in on the secret I was screaming yes. The other thing is that the principal knowing the situation should've put him in a different class so he didn't jeapordize it.
I thought the "New principal" Didn't buy the 9-3 Curse bs Either way curse gonna happen without him, He wasn't the extra, And the extra wasn't a student, I mean even if he did ignore her, Deaths would still happen, Because they didn't ignore an extra teacher, And mei would just be defenseless, Koicihi practically protected her most of the time.
@@gudztrip3642 I guess I missed where they said the principal was new. I don't remember it being mentioned but it has been a couple of years since I last watched the series. Either way, you're right that it would've eventually been triggered anyway with or without Kouichi.
"We're being punished for doing A Bad Thing. We'll solve that by doing the same thing that caused it, over and over, even when it's proven to not work or help at all. Also, we'll be irrationally coy and secretive about it with people who are involved but don't know what's going on, because we can't risk solving the problem." Yeah, this sequence of events just keeps coming up in these stories, doesn't it?
Can you make the next one like new series? "If I'm the MC who will I choose as my partner?" For example, Golden Time : Before memory loss/Original story/Side character choice
Got to love protagonists who don't press the issue of getting answers when someone to the effect of just blows them off with 'Don't worry about it stop asking questions.' I don't care how non confrontation a person is. when bodies start hitting the floor you'd think a person would grow a spine and pus ha little harder with even the most simple retort of 'Why not?" even getting an answer of 'The less you know the safer this is for all of us as knowing more about it makes it more deadly.'
if I was Koichi, I would have asked for my hospital records as soon as I found out how the curse works. The catalyst kid is already dead? they suspect me to be that kid? I just recovered from a potentially lethal injury? it fits to well, I would have to know if there's anything weird in my records
Mei is a savage. She knew who was the extra the entire time and chose to keep her mouth shut while students and others died. I say its revenge for treating her like she didn't exist.
* sighs * listen here,EVERYTIME SHE TRIES TO TELL ANYBODY,SHE WILL GET INTERUPTED AND PLS DON'T PRETEND LIKE "PLOT" DOESN'T EXIST PLEASE you cannot blame her anyway,Mei didn't know what to do with the extra/dead person at first anyways So what do you expect? FOR HER TO KILL THE TEACHER AT THE BEGINNING?
I'd like to point out that elevators have a built-in mechanism that prevents them from crashing when the brakes fail or a cable snaps. Air pressure cushions the fall greatly however if the elevator had another elevator next to it with an open shaft that allowed the air to flow out from under the elevator then it might descend quick enough to do that. 18:30
I love this video!!! I have been checking your channel to see if u have uploaded anything and when u did my brain couldn't resist watching it and I happily began watching this video :)
This might be a little unorthodox, but I like the idea of you doing "How To Beat Criminal Minds". It's a tv show with a lot of episodes, seasons, and wild scenarios. I'm wondering how the victims who usually die at the beginning of the episodes could have survived.
They arent , he would be the first to die, he sucks at surviving. I only watch his videos because I´m too lazy to find a recap of the series, I don´t care how to survive the anime.
Just to set something right. The ,,first class" did not ignore one student that died. They did the opposite. They acted as if he was still alive. He also was on the classphoto at the end of the year (after he already died). So that's why the dead feel invited into this class. Oh yes and Miss Makami Is his aunt.
30:23 - 31:43 OK -- I seriously can't believe this happened. This black-haired kid came onto the trip, clearly sick to his stomach (literally - dude was throwing up), then was not only allowed to come to the beach, but swam thousands out into the ocean just to grab a plastic, cheap-ass beach ball that'd cost maybe a dollar or two? I know the curse was at work, but Holy-fucking-Hell, mate; seriously? Common sense just wasn't practiced here, ESPECIALLY with the adults. I honestly don't even blame the curse for his death because the absolute lack of brain from these people probably killed him before the curse could even do anything. His life would've been extended a little longer.
This could also have been solved sooner if he listened to his grandma and I believe pet parrot that at the start of the series STRANGELY seemed to be mourning his aunt...
Loving captions right now "The easy thing would have been to kill me first, obviously to appease the others. But let me ask you, what if we kept me alive?" - CZcams captions
Considering this curse will be around after this anime, it would be a let down if there wasn't another "another" anime. Hopefully the next anime finds a way to stop the curse.
This anime pissed me off. Mei KNEW who the dead person was due to her sensory abilities yet she did nothing until almost the entire class dies. She's horrible. Everyone could have survived if she had used her eye
While i get why it would piss you off, the funny shit is that ALL OF THIS could have been avoided if they just went "Oh, wait, there's 20 students instead of 19? Let's just tell the student with the lowest grades that they're expelled" no need for mistery, no need to ignore a student. HECK! they could even just make class 3 have 18 students and the whole curse would just go "poof!" So, while Mei is a moron, the entire school staff is twice as stupid.
@@tale7955 youre right. they could of had some students transfer out immediately or move to another class and drop the number to 15 or something as well

This is the first anime I've ever finished and it got me into anime and back into horror as a whole. Even if it's not the best thing I've seen and it's quite stupid tbh, but I appreciate it regardless.
In retrospect, Mei could've stopped all of this right at the Inn "Lol oh and btw I can tell who's actually the dead student" Koichi and the rest of the student body that are currently acknowledging her: Well? Mei: *fades out of existence*
Hmm let's split this into 3 sections First: Before the School Year Second: During the School Year Third: Finds out killing the dead person is the way to prevent this. First Scenario, why should she introduce it, mind you she has an eye that can see the dead or will die, scientist will be running for that shi Second scenario: she was shunned and ignored, even if she actively try to talk to them, and there's no reason for Mei to thunk that killing the dead person would stop the curse. Third: Plot kept interrupting everytime she tries to give info to the MC, and bit by bit everyone dies because of the secret being revealed, and Mei wanted to keep the MC from being depressed and not tell him that the dead is her aunt, after all he would have to kill his own aunt
Bro koichi in the first part was so infuriating mann Leaves glasses girl, leaves blond dude, leaves red hair girl ALL THOSE PEOPLE WERE GOING TO GIVE YOU INFORMATION DUDE
My method I would use in that situation would be to play the ultimate game of can you guess who. It's a work in progress tactic I thought of that might reduce the chances of offing everyone in that class.
So if his auntie was dead the whole time what does that mean? Because if the dude who originally stopped the curse stopped it by killing the dead person how were him and the auntie in the same class?
The auntie was killed before the start of Koichi school year, if I remember correctly by a classmate's brother Who later died in his room when a construction machine hit his window.
@@istan9682 because no other class had an assistant teacher and the family bird picked up the "prayers" the family said infront of the little death shrine (normal japanese tradition). So the bird would always say her name in a grieving manner (and she hated it).
"Short" version: 1. Patient Zero dies. Class can't deal with it and everyone agrees that he is not dead. The curse begins as they see that at the last class picture in the spot they let free for patient zero is standing the "ghost"of the classmate. 2. Next year: people start dying, they can't do anything about it at the end of the shool-year they realize that someone died before the shool-year even started, but he was the whole time in their class like normal. The curse altered the memories of everyone involved so that they didn't know he was dead, the Dead one now disapears and memories are back to normal. 3. Next shool year starts, the same as last year someone died before the shool-year started but is now in class, memories altered so nobody knows who the dead one is. People are dying. Shool year ends. people remember again who died last year and took a place as the ghost. 4. they try to break the curse: different classroom ineffectiv, renaming classes ineffectiv, not having a class 3. it switches to another class, .... 5. The Idea: To even things out. Instead of saying someone dead is alive, they say someone alive is dead. One student is ignored in class, no people die, the curse is relativly controlled 6. Random year: They fail to ignore one person, the dying starts again. one student kills another student, the dying stops, only he remembers the person in class, eveyone else only that that person died right before the shool year started. If you kill the dead person the curse can not affect people for the rest of the year. but to prevent hysteria, because there is no way to tell the actual dead person apart from the living, the "murderer" keeps it a secret. But in case the ignore technique fails in another year he plants the record to help the hopeless- 7. Current year: The aunt dies in a random accident. the shool year starts, she is the dead in class, they use the ignore technique to be save (they think they are one person less in class because there is actually a free chair this year). MC transferes. They don't inform him. The dying begins. They find the tape. Chaos. He finds out that his aunt is the dead one and kills her. the dying ends in this year. 8. Everything will start again. Ignoring is the only way to keep a calm and controlled enviroment without deaths. If they not fail.
because she was brought back by the curse as the dead one. the "dead ones" don't know that they're dead, and the curse makes it so that everyone involved with the curse have their memories altered. i mean, Koichi himself doesn't remember that her aunt was dead. as long as the curse is active, the "dead" will live as a "normal" being, not aware of their circumstances.

Very very very true. I love your insights
Never really thought about this, but you're absolutely right. Could you maybe share the book that you're referring to? I'd also like to read some more on this. Thx in advance 🙂

And, much like in the fiction, their culture just keeps doing the thing that's proven to be a bad idea.
id love to know the name of the book!
This entire anime is quite literally just final destination but with a twist
Yeah, although the curse in this show is much less creative/elaborate with it's kills.
Yeah. The twist is there’s no psychic protag to warn people about their impending deaths.
@@midnight4956 Pretty much. He was a dead man walking.

I will say something about two of the deaths;
The one who died by a heartattack.
Honestly, the curse started before he got to the school. There was no avoiding it.

So.. since Mei can see the aura of the dead.
Because they didn't learn until later that killing the dead would solve the issue.

3. It was mentioned that they practically tried everything including shuffling, renaming etc the classes of the grade and nothing wotked.
but did they try destroying the school?
Mei is a horrible person though, even more so than the other students who were trying to survive, she knew all along who the imposter was and waited till 95 percent of the class was dead before she decided she wanted to do something about it, kinda stupid
Yeah, and now I know why all those years ago, people were saying that the whole event and all the deaths were her fault.
Hmm
I was always so mad at her for that. She reasons it’s because she cares for the protagonist and don’t wanna hurt him, but like it’s inevitable if you don’t tell him?? You gonna wait until he dies or smth? It’s just so annoying. I understand where she’s coming from but at the same time I DONT
@@BeanSprouts02 she probably just couldn’t tell them because they all ignored her and she didn’t tell the mc because she didn’t want him to be depressed since yknow they would kinda be killing his aunt that he loves as much as his mom.
Ikrr. She could just see everything. She knew it too. Why would not she do those earlier and stop the curse?
Realistically all of this could have been avoided if the student council dropped heavy hints that they were ignoring a particular student and to just roll with it. As long as japanese tradition of conformity would stand all would have been fine. Instead of making protag curious they would insist really hard to follow the rules and all will be explained in the end.
then the anime would end on episode one 🤣
This isn’t realistic because in the beginning of the series, it was stated that there would be a 50% chance that the murders would happen even if they ignored a student. The murders were inevitable even before the guy talked to Misaki since her sister died in April- a month before he arrived to the class.
the curse had already began before kouichi even came to the school & even while mei was “nonexistent”. Also chibiki says that the plan to ignore a student only has a 50% chance of actually working. and Also since the dead one is a teacher, ignoring a student never wouldve worked in their case anyway

Damn, curses, serial killers, umbrellas, ghosts and arrows. My boy koichi trying his best to be reliable, and succeeding. What a Chad.
So as long as Mei is alive, the dead person can be found while Koichi finished the job ending the curse as it continues to appear. Little communication will be optimal as to not be killed by the curse. Theoretically, if you had similar people like mei come to the town they wouldnt be affected and can help at the same time
This was the first anime I watched. What a throwback
man i hope koichi doesnt die and becomes a very reliable character
Maybe he might even get his own stand
Did they even explain why class 3 was even still a thing? Yeah classrooms will be a bit more crowded but people will still be alive
@@wind64a39 also assistant teachers actually have purpose f.e. in classes with kids who have special needs

I think they did try that, but I haven't seen the anime in a while, so I forgot.
They could have just shutdown the entire school.
She knew the whole time how to save everyone alive and decided to keep quiet until everyone else died.
She had the ability to see the dead extra person and yet kept quiet. Granted that they learned the way to stop the curse was after they heard the tape, Mei should have told them who it was immediately. I hated this plot hole reveal in the end when I watched it.
Mei could not do anything y'know? CUZ EVERYTIME SHE TRIED TO TELL,SHE'S GONNA GET INTERUPTED ANYWAY!

Second: During the School Year
Third: Finds out killing the dead person is the way to prevent this.
First Scenario, why should she introduce it, mind you she has an eye that can see the dead or will die, scientist will be running for that shi
Second scenario: she was shunned and ignored, even if she actively try to talk to them, and there's no reason for Mei to thunk that killing the dead person would stop the curse.
Third: Plot kept interrupting everytime she tries to give info to the MC, and bit by bit everyone dies because of the secret being revealed, and Mei wanted to keep the MC from being depressed and not tell him that the dead is her aunt, after all he would have to kill his own aunt

My method I would use in that situation would be to play the ultimate game of can you guess who. It's a work in progress tactic I thought of that might reduce the chances of offing everyone in that class.
I'm at twenty four minutes and I'm calling it, Koichi is the dead student.
Edit: Spoilers below:
WAIT WHAT?! MISS MIKAMI WAS THE DEAD PERSON?!
I love his nicknames for each character except the main character lmao 🤣
"now i would suggest that we contact the girls family in order to notify them of her deat- I REALLY DONT CARE" lmao 14:17
Yh I don't get it either. How did he even realise she was the dead person
@@istan9682 because no other class had an assistant teacher and the family bird picked up the "prayers" the family said infront of the little death shrine (normal japanese tradition). So the bird would always say her name in a grieving manner (and she hated it).
@@QueenOfDarknes5 huh...is his aunt the teacher
"Short" version:
One student is ignored in class, no people die, the curse is relativly controlled
6. But in case the ignore technique fails in another year he plants the record to help the hopeless-
I watched this at night and I remember holding my neck and It was hard to breathe when I saw the umbrella scene
If the MC's aunt was dead. How did she set up a meeting with the black-haired guy who survived the previous curse?
because she was brought back by the curse as the dead one. the "dead ones" don't know that they're dead, and the curse makes it so that everyone involved with the curse have their memories altered. i mean, Koichi himself doesn't remember that her aunt was dead.
as long as the curse is active, the "dead" will live as a "normal" being, not aware of their circumstances.
@@tartagliasjigglydworshipper So after the curse was broken (after he killed the teacher), did his aunt disappear?
