This has an extra layer of nostalgia because i didn't understand english when i first played warcraft 3. So this is my first time experiencing it and understanding lol
Lmao I like how we talk about how this game shows the incredible power level of Archimonde and what he can do, and then he just shows up in Wod and we one shot him like a bug on our windshield. It makes me think if maybe the demon lords had a greater plan that involved their own deaths similar to the old gods
"stolen knowledge and conceit" - i always took it to mean that Humanity was never meant to use Magic, but i'm not sure if that was the intended interpretation
I think yes. It is about "simple" Arcane magic.
Not sure what you mean by “simple.” Nothing about what the Kirin Tor had discovered was simple. Metzen himself has said magic is corruptive and we shouldn’t be using it. This Arcane magic is not more “simple” than the complex arcane techniques used in modern WoW. The demons were quite literally enslaved by the Titans to hunt down users of Arcane magics. Read into the Fel Fire Warlock questline from Mists of Pandaria. There’s a scene where Kanrethad Ebonlocke interrogates a Doom Lord and he reveals some of the origins of their kind, apprehensively I might add, wherein he claims this to be true.
And before anyone says “Why would we trust a demon Pyro?” I would add that if we just flat out can’t trust their word at all then what the Dreadlords told Sargeras about the Old Gods plotting to do something for the Void Lords is also not true. Pick your poison.
@@Pyromancer I've meant it is not about fel. But it is not simple at all, just as you said. That's why I used the double quotes.
It reminds me of the dreinai origin story for Velen and Archimonde and Kil Jaeden on Argus. The one guy there can't remember his name who tried to wield the demons powers and ended up getting consumed by it and killed by I think Archimonde..
They originally wanted to revamp WC3 cut-scenes a bit and I wish instead of people expositioning away the land they were supposed to defend. It was Dar-Khan Drathir spilling all the secrets about the elf gates and the defenses since he was a traitor.
Imagine if they went back & added in Uther's scream from the Afterlives when you kill him. Would hit so hard.
Though might be a bit too much? Was an intense scream.
Great Odins beard! My sunday is saved!
This was ana amazing summary editor. Well played
One thing I'd for sure remember is that Frostmourne is hungry as fuck
First! Keep playing, this is fun to watch.
Loving your playthrough, can't wait for the next chapter!
The Re reforged custom campaign is also good. I hope when it's finished you will come back and play that as well. You should check that out and keep an eye on it. A loot of cools custom campaigns to be played like Chronicles of the Second War and the Lord of the Clans that was released a couple of days ago.
love ur videos pyro !!
Thank you!!
I am glad he is enjoying WC III but I am super sad that he has to play Reforged and on Story mode... he is missing out on so much. They even retconned how things look. If he could see the original it would make much more sense and be much more in line with WoW.
wait. you read WoW novels before playing wc3?
You and others seem to struggle to realize that WoW is not an RTS and that MOST WoW players haven’t played Warcraft. Everything in this game can be summarized, and was, in a couple WoW books. In fact, the books give far more information than the game does, so typically it’s unnecessary to play it in order to understand the story.
@@Pyromancer Very true.
...you still read a wow novel before wc3 heh
@@Pyromancer Back in the early days of WoW it did feel like a significant chunk of the playerbase came over from WC3. And up through Wrath there was a feeling that you were settling scores that started in this game. But that was a long, long time ago, and Warcraft as a franchise has long outgrown the RTS fanbase.
34:43 i agree 100 percent. Arthas is a lot like Anakin.
Nice videos but goddamn what an awful voiceover job is this compared to the original?
It is the same voice overs. None of it was re-dubbed.
