If anyone is holding an instrument wrong like that fiddle player, it means they got talent because there were self taught.
it's actually quite similar to the Indian (like the Asian country) style of holding the violin, possible he was taught differently. i'm not disregarding your comment though
Actually, that is in fact the correct way to play fiddle. Violin playing is what requires putting the instrument up under your chin.

Had 2 sub teachers that used to play this song (among others) in primary school as a treat.....used to love it, then didn't hear it for years until the other day. Got goosebumps and was so happy.
