has anyone else's feed just been blowing up with this rug tufting stuff recently? Because out of nowhere that has become all that I'm getting recommended lol. Not that I mind, it looks fun

I did this for 17 years & LOVED it! The company I worked for made 'high end designer rugs'. We made rugs for the White House, the Governor's Mansion, Callaway Gsrdens and several well know public people and business owners.
Wow! I would love to do something like that. Or work on a loom! How did you get into that industry?

This is nice. The first day and they can make that, brilliant. If I may ask, what is the barking material used? I have been using this handtufting gun for a while now, but the problem I have is the barking material. As a textile Engineer, I have been researching on the best barking material but I haven't got the right one. Most barking materials available tend not to work well with adhesives, and when they came in contact with water, it falls apart overtime.

i'm looking to purchase one of these guns and i cant figure out if these students are using cut or loop. It seems like some of the students dont have to cut their yarn as they use the gun which is what i'm looking for. does anyone know?

How do you clean the rugs?
My mother did this 50 years ago by hand with a hand punch needle. It had a bulbous wooden handle.

How much does it cost to attend these workshops? Do you have to have previous training to attend?
They are 250 usd but there are no workshops due to covid. This was in Sept 2019
