Just wanted to comment, around the 2:00 mark, where there is like a "field" emanating from the heart of the actor, that is probably based on the ampullae of Lorenzini, which are fluid-filled sensory canals in sharks, rays, and skates. They can detect the electrical fields generated when the hearts of their prey beat (heart beats are initiated by auto-rhythmic cells, which will periodically, even without input from the central nervous system, shoot down an electrical charge, eventually causing your heart to contract). That is why it is seemingly unaffected by heat differentials in the environment, which will (obviously) throw off thermal sensing equipment.

So Royce uses Dutch ' s idea of using mud to hide his heat signature from the Berserker boss Predator . And use melee weapons to obliterate the Berserker . Nice!!
Fun fact: the original idea for the ending of this movie was supposed to be right after this fight, predator drop ships would land, and a whole bunch of predators would get out and surround Royce and Isabel. Just when you think they are about to get killed, the predators would break into a double column line as their tribal leader would walk out to greet Isabel and Royce. The leader would remove his mask and reveal himself to be Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger from the first movie), who'd say "Not bad, kid. not bad at all." Arnold wasn't available for shooting at the time so it didn't happen.
It's a really good movie, you should go see it. It made a few mistakes, but it's almost as good as the first one. A hell of a lot better than the second, though.

I don't understand why you find that "weird". It makes complete sense within the context of the plot. It's not like Edwin was a major focus of the movie and was killing the other survivors, turning it into a slasher film. He doesn't became a threat until the end.

The predator has a heat sensor. the fire was just to fuck the predator up in believe he's within the fire. He did use the mud to lower his body temp so that he can hide. Basic logic
No because he could then hide in different environments. He could be camouflage in cold areas and also in the fire. And he was also probably muddy from rolling around on the floor from fighting.

i liked Predator 2 because it was its own movie and it so underrated it needs more attention and it feels like Predators was almost like a remake to the original film and also the predators in this movie got killed so easily the city hunter predator in predator 2 which is my personal favourite look of Predator next to the Jungle Hunter Predator but anyway the City Hunter Predator got shot by Danny Glover I think like 9 times with the shotgun and it still kept going arm cut off still kept going the predators in this movie got nothing on the City Hunter Predator
