Almost TOO MUCH FUN
This video is from August 2018. I had hastily put together a competition in honour of our annual King of the Street. In end it was a rainy day but it didn't stop us. We had a group of 30 skaters and spectators. It was a gathering of the Calgary hardcore skate community. Inline and roller skaters were out in full force.
Watching this video leaves me with a mixed emotions. On one hand it was an amazing day of skating with a stupefying group of life long dedicated skaters. On the other I feel a sense of nostalgic melancholy. The whole thing is almost too fun. And I am afraid that I am not longer willing to put the time into organizing similar events in the future. Not saying that I won't do it but as I plan out my summer it is seemingly unlikely.

@@apollo0360 Wow, that sounds great! Even that you could motivate a buddy to do the same. During quarantine I found my old, a bit dusted skates. Tried them for the first time since ages, but they didn't fit as they haven't nearly 20 years ago. So I bought new ones and I am so happy with that decision! Nearly every day I try to find at least a few minutes to get them on and me out. Stories like yours were very inspiring for me to get back onto inline skates! Happy skating and love from Germany :)

I like the way the music matches the video. Some vloggers are trying to create a very dinamic almost heroic music whereas nothing dinamic or heroic is happening. Your vids are more about art, balance, beauty of movement and the music helps us to understand it.

Who does it as good as Leon? Leon has mastered the art of skating like no one else. Amazing. Getting my nr100's on right now! Hella motivated to skate now.
I say this a lot... but this is my new favorite of your edits! The vibe the music and most importantly the skating was top notch! Almost forget that you are a beast on aggressive skates as well. Plus you can never get enough leon, and sheldon! Namaste homie!

Looks like Shaun and Leon switched skates at one point. It was in fact a long day, this was filmed during King of The Street YYC 2018. They skated from about noon till about 6 in three different locations. It was lightly raining for much of the day too, everyone came back pretty dirty.

It depends on the boot you have. If you have an aggressive boot then it uses a UFS frames (front and back mount points are level/same height) there are big wheels versions of UFS frames you can use - Look at a company called Ground Control and another called Kizer.

Namaste...is Buddhist yeah? I found an old lady one day who had used that same hand rail as skaters(to assist her walking down stairs) ...She had a piece of metal embedded in her palm (which we removed and covered for her) Sometimes I find skaters, skate boarders and scooters forget to show respect to other folk who, arent as nimble, who use seats and tables splintered by gouging metal and who own business which are damaged by thrill seekers...Attitude and care in all things are about Karma...

Aren't there any other skaters where you skate? I also do not have any friends who skate, but i just find random skaters throughout my session and roll with them if i'm feeling lonely :).

@@EliteYeth I skated Alonę for a half year then i some of my friends got interested. I borrowed them my first skates and they got hooked as Shaun told me. Now we got like 7 people crew. Also many kids in the city started to skate just becouse they saw us. Try it and dont give up
