Damnit Ryan, dont push your luck. You need to rehab that injury, not aggravate it. Look how well MMT is doing after his last surgery. It takes time and patience, but you'll get there. Be the Phoenix my man. Rise from your own ashes.💪
Ryan you better shut it down indefinitely. No different than a drunk who constantly taxes their liver, you are constantly taxing your arm it will absolutely fail you permanently
That's not how the human body works, unless he injures his spine, he will always be able to train. But adjusting how he trains is clearly important, don't be so dramatic, every sport causes overuse injuries.
@@superintends he needs to heal that injury that injury is not a joke. If he just keeps doing PRs every day snd doing matches through injuries, he could ABSOLUTELY do permanent damage idk what is so controversial about my statement
I'm not you, but considering your whole life revolves around armwrestling, I don't think it is smart to risk further injury by taking on matches when you have a tear. What if your next match causes a full detachment? Wouldn't it be far better to just wait until it is fully healed? Maybe get some stem cells to get it healed quicker and then rehab? The last thing you want is to completely mess the shoulder up and have it be the highlight of the next delusional series video.
@@cheesedoodle2327 At the low end it's a few thousand, per treatment, and that depends what country you are in. It's not a one and done thing. It's definitely not something the average person can just go out and do to fix an injury imo.
Ryan..that is a busted arm. .if you push that arm to its limits then why the hell would you not treat it with the utmost respect.. you have a talent and an arm that works better than 99.9% of people.. if you do not show it any respect you will be left with nothing. Stop weights...stop practice pulling for 2 months... Give your arm the chance it deserves . You are going to throw away your future in the sport you love..or cost yourself $20,000 in elective surgery Then you will be thinking..f#ck..i could have had a 2 year break if i had to.. I am not a g.p..i had sport trainer cert, and sport injury certificates ..and been an athlete.. Your arm need to recover.
He can train around it with weights and highly-skilled compliant table practice partners, but he should not be going into a match/tournament of any kind until he has healed significantly
I admire the commitment to armwrestling but going forward with your match while injured is probably the dumbest decision anyone would make.. If your doctor is telling you not to armwrestle then you might want to listen to him.. But hey, you knowing your body better than the doctor, so that supersedes anything he recommends :Shrugs:.
Surgery is the only way to fix that injury. If you tear it again you’re risking having a full reverse shoulder replacement. It won’t” come good” on its own.
Basically this sounds like the kind of damage loaded external rotation would give, aka Todd Hutching's style side pressure. You could spend the time building clean back pressure and top roll, maybe 'straight' hooks. This 'Twist' that you described seems like exactly the type of movement you want to avoid - corkscrewing the head of the humerus inside the GH joint.
@@rileyneufeld7001 Yes and no. There are internal rotation forces happening inside by the subscapularis trying to hold position, but the actual load during how he normally pulls is pulling him from an externally rotated humerus towards an even more externally rotated humerus, with little to no actual internal rotation actually happening with the arm. If you look at his recent sparring videos, he spends a lot of time being pulled outside of his shoulder, but keeps his torso angled away from his arm. This might not always be a big problem, but if the subscapularis compromised and t he humeral head is fractured from impact (and the bicep tendon is also effused around the shoulder), continuing to pull that way and allowing opponents to regularly supinated his wrist and tug on the bicep while pulling his arm outside of his shoulder is not going to be sensible.
@@ArmwrestlingAcademia I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant him externally rotating hurt his arm not someone side pressure pushing him outside of his shoulder. Side pressure in unfavorable positions is the most common case of injury. Arm breaks, ucl tears, shoulder damage are all results of this.
I honestly believe it's best not to take any matches untill it fully heals because of the risk of a full detachment. This is kind of reminding me of that partial injury with MMT that fully tore during a match. Stem cells can probably help too.
The tendon will get worse if you keep on pushing!!!!!!! If that tendon fully detaches, then your in trouble. Full thickness tear with detachment is a big fix. They may do a tendon to ligament transfer from the back of your shoulder and reattach. Also most likely will need to do the long head of your biceps at the same time to ensure best success rate. Your recovery will be long and frustrating.and you may loose some functionality in the shoulder! Use the left. Rest the right.
That rotor cuff muscle is hanging on by a thread. If you want to royally screw up your shoulder, change nothing, carry on with training and arm-wrestling and end your career prematurely. If on the other hand you want to play the long game, you need to rebuild that shoulder by reverting to first principles and low load, and then progressively reloading as it heals. You also need to understand how it happened in the first place - was your subscapularis muscle picking up the slack from weakness/instability elsewhere ; have you incorporated direct rotor cuff work into your training? What's your shoulder mobility like? You've also been given evidence that you've got cumulative overload and inflammation in at least one head of your bicep tendons. Since the bicep also indirectly stabilises the shoulder, is this related? What about your training? Have you been including deloads into your training blocks to give connective tissue an opportunity to recover, or have you been guilty of too close to maximal weights for too long. Have a long hard look at what this injury tells you, and plan accordingly.
CZcams algorithm boosting comment 💪 ... r u going to turn into the new MMT? 🤔😜 does it mean u don't go to the full locked out position for the side pressure part? can't wait for the 85 kg rematch with Coach Ray 😎
Personally i think you shouldn't do any table time or weights until you've had your match with Shark. You're injured, simple as that. Table time and weight training will just hinder your recovery. Better to rest completely, so you'll be healthier by the time your match rolls up. At this rate you'll feel rubbish by the time your match rolls up.
Please consider letting your arm and shoulder heal completely before taking a match. Then you can come back stronger. Dont risk something worse happening. Adrenaline takes over in matches and it could cause you to move into a dangerous position that could make your injuries considerably worse
Ryan can you make a video on the steps you are taking to losing weight, like your diet atm and eating times etc and potentially your future goals like maybe 85kg weight class 👍🏻 your smashing it bro keep up the good work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
so I believe and I have done a shit load of research into the arm biomatry. you should have around 3 months a year at peak level training off. work it into your schedule because arm wrestling training is super brutal on your anatomy,
Ryan it's best to listen to your GP's advice and not train or compete until the tendon is surgically repaired and then healed. This is most likely a 1 year long recovery. Tendon tears like this do not heal on their own and highly doubt that the drug you are injecting is or will have any meaningful results. The main issue is there is no direct blood circulation/flow into the tendon itself, which would supply/facilitate the necessary nutrients to do repairs.
I’m a performance and rehab specialist and I train athletes. You’re going to ruin your elbow in about 6 months. I said 6 months ago you’d ruin your shoulder. I’ve offered to help you in the past and I’m offering to again. Just get a quick call and I’ll be able to explain to you everything and give you a full plan for your recovery. Just supplementing your training with peptides is not going to fix this.
i feel like you're begging for a more severe injury out of some kind of misplaced pride. Some training might be fine, but going for a full on match is a bad move. Swallow your pride and think about your body first. If you go full detachment you'll be out for much longer
I’m hesitant to get an MRI, to find out what my issues are. Basically this video is what I want to avoid lol. At least you can tailor your rehab. Do the work man.
Try assisted dips once any kind of pressing ability comes back. Also, perhaps this is an opportunity to start training the left a bit. The WORST thing you can do is stop training. Now you get to train different is all. Good luck!

Don’t be a Michael Todd. Rest, rehab with blood flow, and take a shit ton of bpc-157 and HGH.
Time to go ahead and withdraw from the match vs Shark. Spare yourself, him, and those watching the wasted time. It will not be competative.
