Decided to go 3505 MAX 5050 (1658) with my Apollo, currently still going through the labs (52).
I wanted to utilise the free upgrade as much as possible, and since I previously had 0 in Acceleration/4 in Nitro prior to the Lab 3 free upgrade, I wanted to spend it 'better'; hence Nitro 5.
This should still be a good MP tune, right?

Daiwei Wang 12 should be enough you are going to be getting around 12 from the R&D itself. You only need pro 5050 to beat final AI.

Thanks for the positive advice. Only thing I was worried about was v12s, after seeing your video I am more positive about winning it.I have completed lab 2 just now. I have four free upgrades from maestry, out of which I have used 2 to upgrade the top speed along with two free upgrades given by r&d. Now as I will get rest two free upgrades from r&d i will use them to upgrade token Nitro upgrades smartly.
If I'm not able to pass the final AI due to shortage of v12s, I will take your advice and well, use my 2500 tokens. 😂

Personally I am tuning 3505 and 505 and if I can up to 4 on exhaust. This will give a 1685 rank at 313.7 mph. It can be lowered or raised during exhaust. I dubbed it the "future" tune as it gets rid of most expensive token upgrades so that eventual max proing will be easier.

You can use all the 4 free upgrades on tokens upgrades of level 3 and 5 . As you will get the first free upgrade on test three , upgrade top speed to level 2 before doing challenge 3 and when you done with it you can upgrade the too upgrade with a free upgrade .

It's entirely possible to use the first upgrade on top speed 3. You need to upgrade to level 1 after the first challenge and immediately to 2 after the second one. Also having a car such as the Spano is useful, since it gives 2 free upgrades in mastery. My current tune is 5524 0040 and I'm in the last few challenges of Lab 2 and I plan to finish the R&D with 5525 505x

I don't think the extra acceleration of max 4504 tune will knock down other ie's around that rank, but I agree if others tend to add 1 or 2 on acceleration, then 4 on acceleration might make a difference.

lvl 4 acceleration requires tokens.... I'm not about to spend any free upgrades or any tokens at all to upgrade acceleration, so I'm guessing most people won't upgrade acceleration past lvl 3. I don't think lvl 4 acceleration is worth it cuz it's probably not enough to kd other apollos. Also, upgrading the nitro I believe also increases the acceleration since a larger nitro stat provides a better launch, which the 4504 tune lacks.

Nitro doesn't help acceleration nearly as much as the max acceleration stat does. Also it's a speed difference of 1mph without that lv4 upgrade. Might be worth it instead of using it on lv5 nitro
