  • Rijksmuseum is the national museum of the Netherlands dedicated to Dutch arts and history and is located in Amsterdam. More than thirty galleries are devoted to the prosperous Dutch Golden Age, when the young merchant republic enjoyed its heyday as a world leader in trade, science and scholarship and the art of war and the fine arts.
It is also the largest art museum in the country. The museum has on display 8,000 objects of art and history, from their total collection of 1 million objects from the years 1200-2000, among which are some masterpieces by Rembrandt, Frans Hals, and Johannes Vermeer. The museum also has a small Asian collection, which is on display in the Asian pavilion.

No it wasn't. In the East there were no slaves. Perhaps in Africa, although the Dutch had a weak presence in Africa. They exported slaves to the West Indies to work sugar and tobacco plantations.
