- Benjamin Bartlett - "Battle of the Salt Plains" from the BBC TV series The Ballad of Big Al. This really reminds me of something by Hans Zimmer such as Gladiator or Pirates of the Caribbean. Pump up the volume! All rights reserved, no infringement intended.

Did you ever the tragedy of Big Al the allosaurus?
I thought not, it's not a story creationists would tell you.
It a palaeontological legend...
He was a carnivore of the theropods, so large and so dangerous, he could use the other allosaurus to influence the diplodocus herd to become... *food.*
@TYRANNOSAURIDCENTRAL The carnivorious side of the theropods is a pathway to many meals some condier to be, large...
@TYRANNOSAURIDCENTRAL He became so hungry, eventually the only thing he was afraid of was, dieing of starvation... which he eventually did. Unfortunatley, the other infant allosaurs were going to eat anything they found, they ate him at his grave.
Ironic.
He could cause other dinosaurs to become food, and so himself.
@TYRANNOSAURIDCENTRAL Not from a Herbivore.

Sounds like a fun assignment. Glad you got rewarded for it as well. :)
Yeah yeah.
Best soundtrack to use when hunting in the isle

@@13thmistral thats true
For me it fits when a dinosaur is chasing me in carnivores
Literally
@@dreadnaughtvcn6932 omg yes any herbivore has to be on constant alert from sport killers
This soundtrack is so badass to hear.
Ben Bartlett‘s masterpiece ❤️
I mean the entirety of the Walking With Trilogy’s osts are masterpieces, but this one does stand out among them
One of many
9 Dislikes = Herd Members of Old Diplodocus.
nice
Definitely the diplodocus disliking it the hated to see how their herd mate died

My favourite part of this piece is 2:53-3:10 One day I was watching this back when I was 12, then I remembered when I first watched "The Ballad of Big Al" at the age of seven.
Of course I cried that day.
i feel the same, same story man. world is small
Thats Everybodys favorite
I was being baby sat by a friend of the family and was very sick that day so they put on WWD for me and I was surprised to see this episode because I didn’t have it in my VHS collection. I legit though I hallucinated watching it. Until one day someone gave me the DVD collection that included it with Beasts.
I remember watching it at age 7 myself and I loved it so much. And then I got walking with dinosaurs on vhs and I absolutely loved those series and they were so well done
Reminds me of battlefield 1
The best soundtrack on the "Walking With" franchise
I'd go to say this was one of the best 'Walking with Dinosaurs' additions in the franchise.
Besides time of the titans
Idk why but I prefer the “Sabre hunters”
I prefer WWB main theme and Time of Titans
This and Time of the Titans
They can all smell that one of the Diplodocus is in a very bad way...
The predators are getting impatient. They need to break up the herd, and isolate the weakling.
Rebecca Lambeth the predators are getting impatient they need to break up the herd and isolate the weakling
In spite of some outdated information and a few effects that don't hold up especially well, the BBC documentaries among the best prehistoric life documentaries, mostly because they treat the animals like animals, and don't try too hard to anthropomorphize them. Even in this one, the story it tells isn't unlike the one you'd see in nature. I'd love to see BBC remake these with more updated information and effects.
It’s not a remake, and it’s not by BBC, but Prehistoric Planet looks to be something like that
@@maxtube444 It's actually produced by the BBC Studios Natural History Unit, so close :D

3:17 I absolutely ADORE this “Time of the Titans” leitmotif here, right as the allosaurus mob surrounds the elder diplodocus. Such a phenomenal musical callback, and beautifully executed.
Sounds more like Flight of the Ornithocheirus to me.
The nostalgia, it.......it hurts so good!!! Ben does the best job at these things
Man i follow you on insta since i was like 12 LMAO
I remember seeing this episode while very sick well visting a family friends house. The mother of the house laid me down and put this on because she knew I liked dinosaurs.
My favorite part is 0:00 to 4:55
WAIT A MOMENT

Mine too
If that isn't your favorite part you must be on something
Mine was at 2:54
even without the attached WWD value, this is one catchy soundtrack
This piece is absolutely timeless. 20 years on and I still listen to this all the time.
“It is a grim journey for these mighty creatures. The heat, and lack of drinking water, weeds out the weaker animals.
Predators know this…
*Predators, like Al”*
I want to hunt a Diplodocus now
Me too, the hunt is on lol.
Good luck with that
good luck comrade
Ur gonna need a damn massive gun
Cavemen if dinosaur never went extinct:
2:54 is probably my favorite part
The part when the battle turns to the Allosaur’s favor. Lol
Same
This was absolutely one of the greatest musics in walking with dinosaurs thanks to Benjamin Bartlett.
Allosaurus had never heard such great music before.
such a blood-pumping track.
I’m still astounded that they never officially released this soundtrack

Best background music for dnd. Makes em nostalgic and they might not even know why
Wow. I really remember watching this. I was like seven years old when we got it, and my mum translated what they said... We subscribed to the Walking With... Series, so we got EVERY video. Dinosaurs, Beasts and Cavemen. Of course, the awesome animations and animatronics in WWD Made me favorise the first part of the show...!
Yeeess.
Me too. I still watch it.
I wanna see like one of those live orchestra videos of them playing this song
*happiness noises*
Best music ever
Beats to study and hunt diplodocus to...
Brings back fond memories of my favourite Walking with Dinosaurs scene - classic!
2:53 best part
I feel so bad for Al, I was about 5-6 when I first saw the entire "Walking With" franchise, I have the entire package until my mom took my 6th disc, "Walking With Cavemen" she won't give it back til I'm 18, I'm 15 now and it got taken when I was 6. When it came to the last episode of "Walking With Dinosaurs" I cried for hours because I hated to see the Dinosaurs die out. and with the episode in "Walking With Beasts" episode "Gentle Giants" I cried when the mother had to chase her three year old calf away to ensure the survival of her soon to be newborn. My older cousin ran into my room and asked why I was crying and I told her about the indricothere's. Remember guys I was about 5 or 6 when I saw these. Yes I know close to almost everything about Dinosaurs, life before during and after the dinosaurs. if you have a question feel free to ask,but remember, I don't know everything about Prehistory
+Bruth Gunner Why Did Your Mom Took Away Walking With Cavemen?
+GoToGab101 It might be because of the nudity.
And Walking with Cavemen also has some extremely nightmarish scenes as well.
I've recently rewatched all the Dinosaurs ones and some of the Beasts ones and I've realised how dark and depressing these movies are. I'm not surprised how fucked up adult have I become since these were my favourite movies when I was a kid.
Your mother must be impossibly childish
Allosaurus has never seen such beauty.
1:57 best part
Literal goosebumps listening to this.
December: At least 2020 is over!

*Release the dinosaurs!!*
I'm a fan of these shows too!
best music out of the walking with series!
2:53 sounds like a naval battle theme. Still an excellent piece of music to listen to.
Battlefield 1942
Yup 100% battlefield theme
The allosaurus quarry in Utah, now I am an old fossil myself.
The part we are all here for sounds a lot like the beginning of Beethoven's Egmont Overture
This sounds very similar to the Hoth Battle from the Empire Strikes Back

2:54 is great music to use for Pinesia's national Anthem

Best part 2:54.
Have this song open on one tap and have 'Sabre Hunter' on another.
Start 'Battle of the Salt Plains'.
Wait ten seconds and start 'Sabre Hunter'.
That way, the two songs crescendo at the same time.

This is the soundtrack in Allosaurus A Walking With Dinosaurs Special The Ballad Of Big Al where Al and a bunch of other Allosaurus charge though a Diplodocus herd in a Salt Lake so they can kill and eat a male
For some wierd reason this soundtrack sounds like Raiders of the Lost Ark
I feel bad for big al cause he mostly had a bad life he saw one of his siblings get killed by a distant cousin mother trying to eat him after her parental instincts wore off him struggling to survive he toddler little child years without getting eaten himself mocked and laughed at by ornithopods when their too fast for him and when he was at sexual maturity he wanted to have a mate and a female allosaurus beats the living crap out of the poor animal causing him to have his broken rib and arm and it gets worse for the poor killer when in the dry season he breaks his leg when trying to have othemlelia for lunch and the those dinosaurs make fun of him for breaking his leg and he limps to find more food and he collapses at the river bed where his fossil was found and dies and it gets worse when two allosaurus chicks start to eat his corpse you kinda feel bad for al he had a sucky life while we think our bullying is an epicdemic think of big al he was abused more than us
Yep we should show schools this,
Anyway, watch my life of an allosaurus vid, Alf’s mother died, almost got fed to the ornitholestes chicks and then hets his brain ripped off by diplodocus

i am pretty sure most people watching nature documentaries,,,like this one,,, are atheists like me. Correct me if I am wrong.
You are indeed incorrect. I happen to be Christian and still believe in evolution and love the Walking With series. It doesn't have to be one or the other.
