Bobby Moody was also the Program Director at WAKY and he and I had lots of conversations about HINEY WINE when he bought the syndicated feature from me. There is a complete documentary on CZcams under RADIO MEMORIES HINEY WINE.
I'm in central Pa. and I used to hear these every morning on my way to work and would bust a gut laughing! They WERE quite creative! I just happened to think of Hiney Wine this morning 30 some years later and wondered if I could find them. I guess you tube does have everything!
WYTL out of Oshkosh WI played these as well...the winery was in a small town called Poy Sippi. These commercials sure do bring back memories of weekend drives with my dad in his old blue '75 Ford Maverick. crankin' up the AM. Side note: Mascots of the station were the WYTL White Wabbit and the WYTL Wed Wover. They pronounced WYTL as whittle..
